Default agency question

Hi ladies. We are just starting to look into the adoption process and am not positive it's right for us. Yet.
I am new to this room so I'm sorry if there's another or better place for this but I am just wondering if anyone here has had experience with The Cradle in Chicago.
TYIA,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,
Welcome to our board. you came to the right place for all questions adoption. Some people are doing foster/adopt and some private adoption (agency or attorney).

My DH and I are in FL and so are our agencies so I can't help you with The Cradle in Chicago. Just wanted to say "welcome" and good luck with your research.

I can't help you with The Cradle either but if you have any other questions this room is full of very smart women who are in all stages of the adoption process!

We did research on some local agencies, but ended up getting referred to an lawyer that is part of an adoption association (http://adoptionattorneys.org/states/state.asp?st=IL). The referral from someone that had two successful adoptions through this lawyer, made our decion easy.

I agree with the PP, there lots of ladies using different avenues of adoption. Ask away!

Wish you tons of luck with whatever you decide.

Welcome to the adoption boards.

I know nothing about that particular agency, but you could ask them for some names of families who adopted through them or call your BBB and see if they have any major complaints.

GOOD LUCK with your decision!
