Thank you, girls!
I'm so happy to hear you say that; I pray that you're right and your embies will stick around. Keep talking to them, they'll listen. I'll think nothing but positive thoughts for you and pray hard that the outcome will be your bfp

I am sorry if that question is too personal but I know we dont have an extra 15,000 in the bank so I didnt know if there was any type of financing or how it really worked thank you!
and IVF without insurance is like he11 to pay; I (and a lot of other ladies here) know how that goes. I've heard of CreditCare, which will lend money for IVF and Serena (Sagan8) posted some sites a while back that may be able to help. You may have to search a bit but hopefully you will find it. I wish I could remember approx when she posted, but sorry...

We left the office with a 2 inch binder full of info. I have to call and schedule my IVF education tomorrow.

I won't say that I'm nervous, just not super excited about all the injections, but the end result is so worth every prick.

Karen, I remember you from IUI and Over 35 I'm sorry IUI didn't work for you but lots of ladies become successful on their first IVF attempt; I sure hope you'll be one of them and your beans will stick

Luckily everything I had eaten which wasn't much came right out and I ended up throwing up in 2 sessions. DH and I laid on the bathroom floor and I made sure while I was throwing up I kicked DH out lol. I don't like him seeing that and I just kept my hand on the flush button. I didn't end up taking my doxycycline or medrol. Nurse said not too as it would make me worse. DH kept worrying that I should take it, I was like 'hell no I'm
not eating or drinking another thing' I drank lots of red Gatorade and that all came out too. I shouldve known darvocet would mess me up. Vicodin does that to me. But I've always been able to take Tylenol 3 and Motrin 800 so I thought I'd be ok. Yea right! DH helped me to bed and I passed out Thank God.

I have alot of pressure when I try to pee. Is that normal? I have to push it out and it makes my cramps worse again ;-( if I'm still cramping tomorr I'm going to have them check me out.

I'll print out a list of OHSS symptoms and keep copies everywhere just so we know what to look out for. I remember how sick you were Mel.

Oh no Dena you have been to he11 and back, I'm so sorry you were puking blood and had such a horrible time I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope the pressure problem when you pee will clear up too, so that you'll be in tip-top shape for ET. You have sooooo many fertilized eggies, I know your golden ones are in there somewhere, and you'll have leftovers for siblings

I had sat him down on Sunday to let him know that I was 99% sure that I was not pregnant and had felt that way since Saturday. He always said I knew my body way too well. The reason I wanted him to know early was that I had to be in a conference all day Monday (had to sit through 4 debates on Health Care Reform), and I wouldn't be home with him to take the call. So I went to RE early hoping they would let me go to the lab at 8:30 (my appt was not until 10:30) so I could be at my conference by 9. They obliged. I needed the confirmation from them that it was negative so I could stop the progesterone, but AF had started that morning! Even more confirmation. I sent DH a text message confirming the BFN when I got the call at 1:30 (perfect timing...I was out in my car on the lunch hour they gave us which was over at 1:45). I talked to the IVF nurse and reassured her that all was ok, we were expecting the negative results. It was weird because all of last week I REALLY thought it worked and I was getting my BFP. It didn't hit me until the weekend that I didn't have a bean growing. I just knew it and it hurt, but DH said we could get through anything and I believe that. I'm not angry, I'm not upset. I'm disappointed because we really wanted to be new parents again. We will still get our chance, just not in the way we hoped we could. I'm not sure what that means, we talked about surrogate (way, way expensive) and adoption, but I think it's just too soon to talk about it right now. We will take the rest of the year off to just love eachother and love our kids and clear our heads from this year of pricks & waits & disappointments. Time to breathe and enjoy/appreciate our lives the way they are right now and then just pray & see....
Rhonda, I continue to say you are an amazing lady. I've been thinking about you and I'm still so disappointed, but here you are with such a fantastic outlook...NOSTOPPINGME, and I'm convinced that nothing will stop you from realizing your dream of you and DH becoming new parents agian. You're awesome. You have us all praying for you, and I know God will not ignore all our prayers for showers of blessings for you.

I did for my first, and if my second wasn't cancelled, I think I would've again. The RE nurse had me start the day after ER.

I'm not even going there with you about January

I know I'll be ready in January, so I'm just being patient and readying myself.

I am and I have been since m/c#2. The hemotologist said I didn't really need it for pg purposes but that it couldn't hurt.

Thanks for the tip Amy, I've been drinking way more water And it's helping with the peeing pressure. Thanks so
much sisterfriend.

Thanks everyone else for your kind words. I was so
misrable yesterday, still in pain today but I'd do it all again if I had too. It was just worse than I expected and getting sick from the darvocet was the worst of my day yesterday. God helped me thru it as he helps ne thru everything and I'm amazed and so thankful God has given me this chance at IVF. God is wonderful and always looks out for us. I know God will make it possible for us to have a baby or babies one day, whenever that is. My beta is scheduled for Sunday Nov 15. It was supposed to be that Monday but today we told the nurse we want to be together when we get the news either way, we said we'd wait til Tues and she's so anxious and said how about one day earlier lol. She's a stinker! :-) I really do feel like the nurses and Drs are my extended family now. Dh and I are going to send them lunch and a huge fruit/candy baskets when we get our sticky bean. Nurse said I will havey ultrasound week of Thanksgiving WHEN God blesses is with a baby.

Thanks Mel for your kind words

Thanks Jenn.

Thanks Donna & love having you back.

Thanks EVERYONE again for all the continuous sweet remarks.

Serena- I took baby aspirin on my 2nd & 3rd cycles.

Dena- Good to hear things are getting better. You had a lot of follicles so no wonder you experienced pain. Don't worry it gets better with time and soon enough when you have your ET it will be uphill from there!

Traci- COUNT DOWN...the day is almost over...when you wake up tomorrow you can say 2 MORE DAYS!! Hope you are feeling preggers and those beanies are sticking like peanut butter on bread!! I'm gonna nick name your babies PB&J!!!

to everyone!!!

It may take a while to get to know everyone on this thread, but the ladies are awesome and the support is out of this world! Thanks Rhonda for the warm welcome to this side of APA. The IUI cycles were interesting to say the least, I was so devastated when my last one was cancelled. The nurse yesterday who set everything up with me and hubby told us "I have a good feeling this is going to work, I don't know why I have this feeling but you all will be pregnant." I thanked her for that and that made me feel good.

I'm sorry your last IVF cycle didn't work. Praying for you and hubby and I know God is a way maker. When He has promised you something... believe it shall come to pass. I will be sure to post my protocol. And I know I'll have a ton of questions... LOL

How exciting Karen! Let the journey towards IVF begin.

Personally for me I thought at first that IVF was going to be overhelming and I was so scared to go down this road. Once I got the ball rolling and went to my consultation and now having gone a IVF cycle, it really isn't all that difficult. Just keep and open mind the outcome will be worth it!!

Welcome and Good Luck to you! My insurance covered all of my IVF, minus the co-pays and surgical center fees. I was lucky. So many women have to pay out of pocket. You can see if your clinic has a shared risk program...that way you can get 3 or 4 cycles for $15-$20k and if it doesn't work then you get your money back. Also there is special financing most clinics can work with you. You may want to ask them about any donated meds from other patients. Sometimes they can just give you some that were donated for no cost. I have found the Schrafts Pharmacy which is a Walgreens fertility pharmacy and also Freedom Fertility Pharmacy have great prices on meds so you may want to check into that. Good luck to you!

HI Serena, I also take baby asprin. No reason other than to help with blood flow. I think my clinic uses it for all of their IVF protocols. I could really tell that it thinned my blood b/c when I was doing IUI's I never bled but with the IVF injections I always had a little blood when I took the needle out.

That is why I was asking... When I take it I bruise really easy and I was wondering if the blood was to thin if it would have an impact on the baby implanting... Does anyone know?

The reason I was put on baby aspirin for my IUI's and why they continue to keep me on it daily and thru IVF is to help with thinning of the blood and with people that have MTHFR issues/blood clotting issues. The baby aspirin helps thin the blood a bit, but not to the point it would not help implantation; actually it helps as it doesn't make your uterus to clotty so the embryo has a problem implanting.

That is how it was explained to me, somelse may want to chime in and clarify further.

Hope that helps a bit

Hi Ladies

So once again I have not been on in a few days and missed so much.
Rhonda- I am so sorry about your bfn.

Dena-Sorry about how sich you were but great news on the eggies.I hope to hear about a BFP.

Mrs.so muchmore-:welcom: to the ivf room!

Jenn-Are you stimming yet?

Anyone else I missed Good Luck in your cycle where ever you are.

As for me we had our ER yesterday they retrieved 18 EGGS and Dh had some super numbers with his "guys" as he likes to call them. So now we are just waiting to hear how everything is going from the embryologist and if we are going to be 3 day or a 5 day transfer. And we get to start the progesterone shots tonight which I am more scared of then the ER.

Thank You but please don't be jealous heck the Debbie Downer of the nurse was like you have 18 but remember you can only end up with 1 or 2 viable eggs. DH and I were like gee thanks.

Honestly, the retrieval was wayyyyyyyyyyyy worse for me then the progesterone shots. I used this GiGi Anesthetic spray (numbing spray) that I bought from Amazon and I used some ice while DH was getting the shot ready. To be totally honest, I felt a little poke and the Follistim shots hurt wayyyyy more than that butt shot. I did and do still feel soar on that side of my cheek but the cramps are way worse than the soreness. lol.

I am back to work. Barely slept last night and my stomach is still cramping like crazy, it really does suck. I wish it would go away already. I am really trying not to get stressed out but yesterday and today have not been good days for me. My mom was in a bad car accident yesterday on the highway and somehow God was with her and she got out scratch free. She had a bad headache and nose bleeding and dizziness and she didn't call me til she took a taxi for over 30 min to get home because her car had to be towed. To top it off, the driver that hit her had a suspended license!!!! I was sooooo pissed! His butt went straight to jail! Then I wasn't feeling all that well so I had DH take her to ER and a friend came to stay with me so I wouldn't be alone. Thank God she is okay, they did every test I can think of to make sure she had no head injuries and had a great Dr so I'm very happy it all worked out.

I am trying so hard not to stress myself out. I get to work and my BP seems to be rising like crazy from all the BS here. I'm trying to calm down and take it one step at a time. It just really sucks. I probably wont be on much today so I can get caught up in case tomorrow is my Transfer.

I scheduled my IVF education class today. Its next Wednesday at 10am. So now the waiting game for AF begins....
Welcome I hope you have a short stay here and graduate very very soon.

Good luck with the class. It's really not as scary as you think when you're going into it. Just don't get freaked out by the big box of meds you get at your doorstep for the IVF meds. It looks scarier than it really is. Good luck!

Yay, I can't wait for it to be uphill. I think I'm being tested and I'm trying very hard to stay positive and not stress myself out.

On a brighter note, my Beta is Nov 15. Less than 2 weeks away. I'm so excited that I don't have to wait longer.

How are you feeling hun? I'm still so amazed at your strength and faith in God. My faith is stronger than ever but yours is just amazing. I hope you are doing okay and getting thru the disappointment. I was so sure this would work with IVIG and all.

Dena -whenever we try to live a little stressfree thats when it seems to pile up. I am going to see if they have the spray in our local pharmacy but the nurse did tell us to use ive then a warm wash cloth so there would be less swelling. Glad to hear your mom is okay and good for the driver.

Even during the class Dh and I thought this was going to be crazy and then the box of meds arrived but it really was not as bad as I had originally thought. The only pain in butt for me was if I went out that evening I had to take a little cooler bag to keep the meds in then find some place private to do injections.

Definitely check out the spray. I think the cans I got were really small and $6-7 each but I dont need much and if it helps, I'll take it. DH was so worried I was going to turn around and punch him for hurting me. Lol. He was terrified of hurting me, he was so cute. I kept telling him it was fine and didn't hurt. I was only worried about him shaking the needle in me while checking for blood before injecting the med. If you cannot find the spray, let me know and I'll PM you the link on Amazons site.

Thanks. I just talked to her and haven't really heard the details til now. I am sooooo thankful to God for protecting her. It was a horrible accident and she said all her car windows broke and shattered all over her, she said it felt like someone throwing candy on her and not glass. She didn't even get one scratch. They hit her from the back and then the right side as well. She said God was definitely taking care of her to not even get 1 scratch. It truly amazes me how God is always protecting her especially. My brother is paralyzed and needs her, she is the only person around 24/7 to take care of him and I always try to do what I can but since this infertility stuff, I've been around less and less which they understand. It amazes me how God protected her from this accident where she did not get hurt at all to make sure she is there to help my brother everyday. We are truly blessed and I am so thankful everything turned out okay. Another lesson for me, keep believing and have strong faith and you will always be looked after and protected.

Lol, that's a good idea. I just made sure I was at home to get my meds in time and the only time it affected me was for a work team dinner, I just ended up skipping it so I wouldn't be late for my shots and my boss understood. Your idea would have been way better though! Now I know for the future. lol.

Pinkgirl ~ I'm glad to hear your mother is okay...how scary! I hope your cramping lets up soon!

Stacie ~ Yay for 18 eggs! Don't be afraid of the PIO shots...honest, they aren't that bad. The most discomfort I've felt is after a few days, when my "cheek" is sore to sit on!

Gerbeme ~ I'm heading over there to look now!

Everyone else or anyone I'm missing I hope you're having a great day!

AFM, I'm just hanging out. Milking my last day at home before I have to go back to work tomorrow.

I'm finally feeling less bloated, but I've been a little queasy today...

Traci - TWO MORE DAYS!!! Hoping & Praying for a BFP!!

Dena - Wow, that was amazing that your mom walked out of that accident with no scratches. Thank God! I know you feel overwhelmed right now, but it's because you have so much going on. Just do your best to stay calm. Try some breathing techniques while you are at work. Deep breaths in from the nose, let it out through the mouth with control. Very deep breaths! It does really help, but you got to do it for several minutes.

Stacie - You did good sweetie!!! Yay for 18 lovely eggs! KUP on the fert report and rest up!

Mel - I posted in DD and Multiples...so excited for you sweetie!! God is good!!

Amy - Take it easy and enjoy your last day of relaxing! At least you have a short week at work. Sorry about the quesy-ness!
