How Long Did it Take?

2 weeks ago, I had an early miscarriage at 6+ weeks along. DH and I are wanting to try again ASAP. I'm just curious as to how long it took everyone else who's been in this position to get pregnant again? I've had to do 3 blood draws to monitor my HcG levels and my last one yesterday came back at 0, so it seems my hormones are back to normal. My sister had the same thing happen to her and she said she got her period back normally like she would had she had a period, so I'm really hoping my body will do the same thing and I'll ovulate and conceive soon. I just thought I'd ask and see how everyone else has done.

I waited 3 months before I started to ttc just to be on the safe side as alot of dr recommend you to wait a couple cycles and I got preg 6 months after that! good luck hun and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I waited 3 months as well and we got pregnant right away.

I'm sorry for your loss. I was in the June DD too (miscarried end of the month).

I'm going to wait until I get my period and then start trying again. Last time I waited 3 period cycles, but I don't want to wait that long anymore. I'm crossing my fingers for a 2010 baby (and I'm using progesterone this time per Doc's orders).

My dr said wait until after one normal cycle then start which might be 2 months.

I was told to wait 3-4 months, but that coincided with my cycle, anyways- I didn't have a "normal" cycle until the beginning of Sept. (meaning, bleeding not associated to the m/c at all). We started trying at the end of Sept., I got another period (Sept. 30th) and we found out I was preggo again last month. Since you're body still has all those hormones running around in it, I've heard its easier to get pregnant again right away a lot of times, but the most important thing to remember is to wait until you're emotionally ready. No Dr. can tell you how long that will be.

I took the pills (forgot what they're called, but they start the miscarriage when it doesn't start on its own and you don't want a d&c) on May 23rd, the actual bleeding didn't start for a couple of days. The bleeding ended around June 5th.

Period started July 8. Hubby came home from deployment July 17. August 15 I realized I hadn't had another period, BFD on several tests. August 17 was my last followup appt for the m/c, we'd decided between us (hubby and I) that we were NOT going to try again, as we hadn't been trying for the first pregnancy, we were told 3 years prior we had secondary infertility, so we'd just accepted no more babies. August 17, I go to doc, she thinks it's possible that I'm still getting BFP from m/c so she does an HCG draw. We schedule a hystorectomy, because we both think I'm not really pregnant.

She calls a couple of hours later and said "It's not a false positive", I'm due April 14th LOL.

So, I only had the one period between the m/c and BFP, I had NO IDEA a m/c made you more fertile. Doc never told me to wait any time, but then she knew hubby was deployed, so...idk if she would have told me to wait, but we weren't "trying again", we were very shocked with the first BFP....we'd just bought a 5 passenger truck when we got the BFP for the second time...we need a 6 passenger now...

My 1st miscarriage was at the beginning of Feb. I didn't get pregnant in Feb, but I conceived in March.

After my 2nd MC, my midwife said to wait 'til I had 2 normal periods (b/c I was almost 12 wks), not counting MC. We waited an extra month. Once again, I didn't conceive the 1st month, but I did the 2nd month.

Progesterone has made ALL the difference this time...Good Luck!!

I didn't get my period for 3 months following my M/C. My doctor told me to wait until I had a full period prior to trying again. She said it would give my uterus time to heal from the D&C.

I'm so sorry for your loss I had an early miscarriage around the same time and got pregnant the next cycle. We were told we could try again right away if we wanted.

I've had two m/c this year between the first two I only waited a month. I am prenant again 13wks now and we waited 3 months this time and it seems to be going well cross your fingers

My Dr. recommended waiting for one regular cycle before TTC again. We did but my cycles were a little wacky at first which I think made it more difficult. Luckily we did end up getting pregnant again after just a few months (although during that time it felt like years of waiting to see those pink lines again!).

I had a D&C with both of my miscarriages. The doctor suggested that for physical reasons I wait 1 cycle before trying again and, at my discretion, wait longer for emotional reasons.

After D&C #1 we waited 2 months, tried and got pregnant on the first try. Carried a baby girl to term and now she's 16 months.

After D&C #2 we waited only 1 cycle (because it was 41 days and I couldn't handle it anymore!) and it ended up taking us 4 cycles to get pregnant. I'm now 11 weeks along and hoping that everything is going well in there.

First miscarriage was July 13, we didn't really try but didn't prevent after that. Had a regular cycle on August 11th and got pg around August 23rd. My due date is 1 day shy of being exactly 2 months after my first dd.

I had an early mc in may and had to take provera to start my period. I finally got a period in september and I just found out I'm PG again this week!! Good Luck to you! Many people are able to get PG again very soon after.

I was told to wait 2 cycles before trying after my m/c and D&C. After, that it took about 9 mths.

My cycle resumed normally right away and we conceived within a couple of months.
