Awesome idea!
My name is Sarah (24) and DH (Josh - 25) and I have been married just over two years. I stopped BCP in June and we have been actively TTC #1 since July. We live in TN but I'm from the wonderful bluegrass state - KY. I work in the healthcare field - the business/finance side of it. We have a dog that we spoil way too much! I love to bake and crochet. Crocheting is somewhat of a new hobby --- I was always told a lefty couldn't learn! |

Hey all!
I'm Maria (26) and Rob (DH) is 31. We have been together for 9 years and married since June 05. We started TTC in September 08, got pg in January's cycle, and I had a missed miscarriage in April (and D&C). Since then my body has become evil and refuses to o. I started clomid this cycle, and I think I did actually o. Keeping our fingers crossed for a sticky bean. I have two dogs, Sammy (9) a pit mix and Sasha (1.5) a Doberman mix. These two are one of the only reasons I got out of bed after my mc. They saved me. I also have two cats, Lilo and Spike. We are originally from Michigan and now live in Connecticut, DH is an engineer and I am a teacher. I teach fifth grade in an urban district and LOVE my job. I actually enjoy going in every day. I enjoy reading (a LOT!) hiking, skiing, movies, cooking, travel, and any activity I can do with DH and my dogs. I enjoyed reading about all of you ladies! |

This is a great idea.
My name is Ana (32) and DH just turned 33 on Halloween ![]() We have a son, Marco who is 32 months old. He was conceived relatively easy granted I had the starts of PCOS and inconsistent ovulation. But with the Fertility Monitor it worked. We decided to start trying for #2 this Fall and got pregnant very easy and faster than I thought but we had a miscarriage at 5 weeks on 10/8 I am still waiting for AF to show so that we can begin to try again. I just went to my Ob today who says AF should show in 2-3 weeks!! AHHH!!! Can't wait to get to know you all and pray for lots of BFPs!!! |

HI, didn't see this thread before.
I'm Ali (32) and my dear British DH is Nipako (36). We've been NPP since NOV 2008 and actively TTC since Dec 2008. We thought we'd get preggo quickly cause he had a "whoops" pregnancy with his ex that led to my sweet step daughter Elena (5). So i get a little stepmama time but can't wait to have one of my own with Nipako. Okay enough TTC. I live in Sydney AU now so i'm 16 hours ahead of the mainland USA. I work as a nurse in pediatrics and love love love my job. DH does respite care for children/adults with intellectual disability and is working in construction and starting to train as a carpenter. I live an outdoorsy life, going swimming in the ocean, biking, walking. I'm also a community college afficianado, just took knitting and now Bollywood dancing and hopefully Rockclimbing soon with DH. I'm an IPA (Indian Pale Ale) girl myself love a yummy chocolate stout in the midst of winter. Can't wait til everyone gets their BFPs.

I am Maili (my-lee) 25 and my DH Brian is also 25. We were married in 7/2008. We have been NPP since then but really started trying in 7/2009. We were high school sweethearts and I am thankful everyday that I got to marry my best friend.
I am a high risk labor and delivery nurse...things are really different to me now that I am the one trying to get pregnant. And, even though I am an L&D nurse, I still have questions and find comfort in this site....I don't want everyone at work knowing my business. I also feel like I can be of use to woman here b/c I have endured everything from: losses and heart breaking times to beautiful births and miracles come true with numerous families through my job. We have a wonderful boston terrier, Gracie, who is almost 3yrs old. She is the love of our lives.... so spoiled! We can't wait to make our family bigger! |

Hello all! My husband and I have been married 2 years and been together for 5. We lived together for two years before getting married. I was on the pill from the time we got really serious about each other, both for regulating my crazy cycles (at the time) and birth control.
We started ttc two Christmases ago, for the first year and a half we just tried on our own, then decided to get some medical attention. So far we've figured out I'm the problem . Just had surgery Tuesday for endometrial polyps, whew, what an experience. Have also been doing Clomid and Ovidrel the last three months, but this month we're on a break due to surgery. We will be re-evaluating in December when we are ready to start trying again if we want to be medicated or not.I'm an artist and a teacher. My hubby is a teacher in the professional/technical world. We have three awesome fur-babies, 2 cats (Winnie and Mishka) and a dog (Frida.) My favorite shows include Lost, Intervention, The Biggest Loser, Survivor, The Office, 30 Rock, Glee. I love wine and beer, live music, ethical eating, and making art. So glad to meet all of you, and hope to get to know you better soon. ![]() Last edited by elle77 : 11-13-2009 at 09:16 PM. |

I am still TTC but we did have one loss since I had my thyroid taken out (cancer) last year. Since I had to take radiation, we had to wait an entire year from the LAST dose to start trying again and so we've been trying for 6 mos now, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when my son was a few months old so I worry thyroid dysfunction could be causing conception problems. I cut my own Synthroid b/c I am on 300 and that is a l o t and I read that hyperthyroidism can cause miscarriages, too. I am also polycystic and it was one of those cysts that claimed my left ovary and tube. Coincidentally, it was also the side that burst due to an ectopic pregnancy (it had been repaired afterward), so the side I do have, I'm hanging on tight to! I had miscarried after my thyroid was removed but I still took it as a sign that I should think about quitting (we are in our mid-thirties) but really want just one more (isn't that what they all say-haha). I'm holding on to hope for this month but if it doesn't happen I'm not sure how long we'll keep it up.
That's my story - I'm happy to be here and to get to know you all~ Rachael Y'all are way more interesting than I am personally, I assure you. I'm funny my friends would tell you---and I love to read. I loooove being a mom and feel blessed for the privilege. |
