Default Fatigue

Maybe this is OT, but I have been sick since the 29th of October and started feeling better on Sunday Nov 1st. The weird thing is that I am still so darn tired! I am fine in the morning, though it is tough to get out of bed, but by the time I get home the fatigue hits me again.

So anyone know how long the symptoms of the flu last? I have researched and read up to 4 days, but this is now going on a week. Could the fatigue continue even after other symptoms desist? I really don't feel sick anymore, I have no fever, just a semi-stuffy nose, but the fatigue is really bothering me.

Are you drinking plenty of fluids? Maybe if you're a little dehydrated it can cause some fatigue...I'm not sure. I hope you feel better!

Thanks for responding. I thought that I might be dehydrated, but I don't have a headache and I have been drinking plenty of liquids. So that couldn't be it.

I guess no one really has any experience with the fatigue and the flu so as to help me. I guess I am just still somewhat sick even though I don't feel it.

Yes the fatigue from this flu can last up to 2 weeks, especially if you are not getting enough rest and if I were you I would POAS to see as well cause if you are preggo it can multiply the systoms

Thanks. I thought about POASing today but am terrified of a BFN. I am only 12DPO and FF says my next AF isn't due until Nov 7th. So I am trying to wait it out. With my temps all over the place due to illness and irregular BBT because of sporadic waking times I just feel like I will get a BFN. Not a good way to start the day.

I know exactly how you feel! I am still so tired and today I started feeling sick to my stomach and having diarrhea sorry tmi. I didn't have those symptoms when I had the flu. I got sent home from work with a fever again today and they said that this is how this flu is working. You will feel better for a couple of days or so and then be sick again and I guess its worse the second time aroubd

Oh no! So sorry for what you are going through! I also heard that the flu can do what it is doing to you. So far, I have not had any recurrence, but that doesn't mean that my body isn't working to rid my body of the residual flu virus'. Last night one gland on my neck was so painful that it hurt my ear! I started worrying I was getting an ear infection and took my temp but it was 98.6. It is better today but my neck is a little sore still.

I have to admit, when my ear was hurting I started wondering if I could be pg. With my DD I got an ear infection and then an intestinal bug in the month I conceived, one right after the other. I rarely get sick - maybe once a year?

I am waiting until Nov 7th which is when FF says my AF should show. However, if I were not using FF I would have expected AF to start on Nov 3rd or at the latest the 4th, which makes me a day late as of today. Yesterday and today I have been having a lot of runny CM (at least that is what it feels like). Today I keep running to the bathroom because it feels like something is coming out and I think "Great, AF is here". Then when I check there is nothing, just more wetness.

Thanks but when I wiped today I got a small amount of pickish-brown CM and am getting a lot of mild cramping. It's most likely AF. I will know for sure in a few hours. I don't usually have spotting but go right into light flow. So far nothing else and it has been two hours.
