Default Diaper Stacker (x-posted in New Moms)

Since there are a lot of BTDT moms here, I thought I'd ask...

Does anyone have a diaper stacker? Is it necessary or even helpful?

We are looking at bedding sets for our little guy and I can choose to get a window valance instead of the diaper stacker. I know I need the valance, just no so sure about the stacker.

Any advice? TIA!!

If you mean the little cloth thing that hangs off the changing table to hold diapers, then yes, we used one. I liked it. I don't like havng that big brick of plastic packaging visible and it saved bending over to the floor when you've got a wiggly one on the changing table.

I really liked it, too. It made everything totally within reach. I was really sorry to have to put it away once the twins became mobile and wouldn't leave it alone.

We never had one. I just used a big basket and stacked diapers in it. It worked fine and was easy to refill.

Never used one, I have a basket in DD's room with supplies and I have a little carry tote that has room for diapers, wipes, etc. for downstairs.

I'm not a BTDT mom, but we're going to experiment with two options.

1. The dresser with changing pad has extra space on top, so I bought a basket to sit on top and hold diapers/wipes.

2. I bought this cute frog prince wall organizer at Ikea for $10. We may hang that on the wall to hold diapers/wipes.... if not, it'll probably hold toys, etc.

I had one both times (came with the bedding sets) and I never used it. They were cute, but worthless IMO. they just hung in the back of the closet until I packed them away I would def. take the valence over the stacker.

ETA: as others have posted, I just used a basket to put our diapers in, you can get really cute lined baskets at baby stores if you want one to match.

I used a diaper stacker with both my kids and I plan on using one this time too. They save space and are in easy reach.

I used the stacker with my son. His dresser was a changing table and there wasnt any room on top to put a basket with diaper and the drawers were filled with clothes, blankets etc. So I hung the stacker on the side of the dresser and it was cute and functional. I don't know what I will do this time because we are doing clothe. Maybe I should ask this question in the CD room. Thanks for reminding me!

Never had one never needed one. We kept/keep all the changing supplies in a basket on the changing table (diapes, wipies, powder, butt cream)

I'm cloth diapering and I'm putting shelves up on the wall above the changing area, anchored to the studs, boards screwed to the brackets. When I get them up, I'll show you. We're using the pack-n-play with the changer on it until he outgrows that, then his dresser will move in there with a changing pad on top. I didn't want separate furniture that wouldn't grow with kids or have to be replaced every time, and I have back problems, so picked a higher dresser than the standard changing table height. Plus...with cloth - they're so pretty!!! Especially if you dig the BSRB's and GM's and such! Why hide all that fluff???

I used a basket on the changing table (dresser top) and kept extras in the diaper stacker which was hung on Dominic's bookshelf. It is handy but I wouldn't put money out for one seperately, ours came with our bedding.

I have the contoured changing pad on top of the dresser, with this diaper caddy basket at the end. It's attractive and easy to refill. http://www.target.com/SaraBear-Diape...reen%20Striped

I voted yes but it's not the cloth thing I have that matches with the room decor but a diaper depot...this one: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4457083
I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I'd say it's a must!

I'm not getting a changing table, I'm using one of the dressers (not sure which one yet depends upon which one is a good height for me). I plan on just keeping them in the top drawer. I'm going to be using cloth diapers though so that's something to consider.

If it's not a part of your bedding set and you need to choose between the valance and the stacker, I'd choose the valance....

We've had one with both kids. I like that it helps the diapers air out a bit before you use them. I hate the smell of dipes right out of the package.
