Beta is Friday 8/27. I will be driving to FLA right after I go for my blood work, so I will get the call while on the road (7 hour drive). My SIL has pre-cancer cells and is having a double mastectomy that day.

DH commented about EVERY woman that walked in the building, was out in the parking lot or walked through our clinics lobby! I had to say, she's blond, she's short, she has long hair, she's alone (which our donor had to have a driver), etc. He drove me nuts! LOLLess than 2 wks left unless baby boy is late...which I think he will be to drive his momma up the wall
I'm so happy you went with dh and gave the gift to the receptionist. I'm sure you were both hoping to get a peep at what she looks likeSorry you didn't. That was very thoughtful of you to get her a gift and wrote her a note. You're such a sweetheart! I'm so ready to stalk you in a dd room already. Your project is the best thing that can happen right now. You are so ready for this cycle and without the project, time would drag on and you would be miserable. I'm bummed I won't be able to check on your girls until Tuesday -we're working straight through the weekend on our yard project and they are barely giving DH & I time to sleep in between working.

I totally agree with you on the DH's and how easy they really have it through this process. I hope my donor is home resting and that she is not too uncomfortable. Hope she liked the gifts!

I'll be stalking all day tomorrow for your update and I'll be thinking of you all weekend for your transfer on Sunday. 3 day transfer isn't bad, other than the longer 2ww, but just think those little embabies will be getting warm and cozy sooner.
Yeah, I wanted (for once) to be able to say I had blasts transfered. Since we will do a 3-day, we will have them put back 3. If they were blasts, I would have been fine with just 2. I will be happy to have my babies inside mommy so we can start to bond. I want to take them in as quickly as possible and start being mommy. I can't wait to experience implantation and any symptoms of pregnancy. I've been waiting for this for so long and the road has been really hard, but in the end the payoff will be so grand that I will forget about the heartache and just be grateful. I cried and prayed last night and I am just so happy for where we are today. I know many women don't get to even attempt IVF when all else fails, so here I have had 4 attempts and now DE, so I can't complain. This way was paved for me for a reason and I will not let my donor, my DH or myself down. I will be pregnant and I will have a healthy pregnancy and be love them as much as I have loved my DD. I simply can't waitRhonda, I'm sorry about your SIL and that you didn't get any info today. I would be. Tomorrow will be tough (IVIG is very draining), but I will get the strength to update everyone. Last IVIG was bad and I ended up in the ER for 4 hours. The side effects were scary. I am taking precautions this time (the infusion center said benadryl will actually do the trick if I take it 30 minutes before my 3 hour session). So, pray for me that this one is smoother because I absolutely need it for transfer to be successful. I go home tonight for my first PIO shot for this transfer cycle. Woo hoo!!
Well your story is amazing to me, because my friend have had one ectopic and am incredibly afraid of having another one. she was wondering IF she did have another one.

Jimi and I had four and a half years behind us of unprotected sex. We finally decided to get serious about having a baby and I knew I would need assistance because of PCOS. I had tried Clomid for a few rounds at 50mg years ago with my ex and the RE then "didn't think" I was ovulating.
We met with the RE and went straight for 100mg of Clomid. I did three rounds of that with confirmed ovulation but still didn't get pregnant. We then decided to go with an IUI and it worked on the first try. We did 100mg Clomid + trigger shot + IUI and there were only 4 million sperm post-wash.

bmelissa - oh dear how is it going girl with baby. I hope everything is ok and going along for you. Sorry about your troubles with the yeast infections. I get them all the time and I use monastat also. I use it at least once a week and everything is ok.
mominw8ting - OMG I am so sorry Kellie for the beta result. We had so many positive for a while I though it would be for you too. How are you doing girl. You go drink girl and you try and clear things and see what you can do to feel better. I have to words for the sadness I feel for you poor thing. All this work and hopes and downs... you will get it girl, you are a fighter and you are going to have your baby dear. Hang on to that though ok!!! Hugs!!!
mistyone1 - oh wow so you got a BFP and BETA of 153. That is great news. It's hard to rejoice when our friends are sad but we will all get there girl you go girl and happy h&h 8 months. Congratulations to you and your dh... Second beta is 335... you have such a good baby in there girl... way to go and contrats again. Try not to worry about cramping for now ok it's normal with IVF

AFM - well the weight is getting hight very fast. I am not able to be more careful now during the day just no will power. So I skipped supper (had things to do anyways) and so just snacked on healthy stuff. Lost one pound boy I am like 5 lbs overweight according to the online pregnancy gain chart.
So I have not been around much sorry I was working on my scrapbooking and just finished last night. I did from Jan to August 2010 for the whole family and I am all done and caught up for this year. I can't believe I did it. After one full month of hard work and about $1,000 in online stores and in town I am finally all done for the year... I am so proud. Sorry ladies...
So I am very happy almost everyone is doign great and sorry we had a bad BNF but will wait for further info to see how our friend is doing...

The IVF nurse who assited in our surgery called me! She left me a message saying she peaked at my chart to see our results and wanted to give me a call to say she was so sorry. She gave me her number and said to call if we needed anything. She also encouraged me to try again.
I can't wrap my mind around trying again / or not trying again. But I can try to LIVE MY LIFE! HAs been on hold way too long. Love you all.

I hope they all continue to develop and divide properly and make it to day 3. We will transfer the best 2 on Sunday and freeze whatever is left.
Oh, and IVF nurse said she gave our donor the gift bag yesterday and she was so touched by the thoughfulness that went into her gifts and the thank you card. She said she cried when she read my card. I am so glad I was able to do that gift bag

It's been FOREVER since I've posted on the APA boards!
I haven't had an IUI yet, but that's our next step. On July 30th, I had lap/hyst to remove more severe endo and a chocolate cyst on my right ovary. We need to wait a month before we do anything, so I can heal.
What sucks about the whole thing is the cost! Insurance doesn't cover infertility, so we are on our own with this. $1,600.00!!!
I'm just hoping and praying that it works the first time. Would love to hear any stories on women who have gone through this. I know this is an old thread, so hopefully people still come here!

Toad - Welcome back! I am still waiting to do my first IUI, too. Like you, my insurance does not cover any infertility so everything is out of pocket. Our cost for an injects/IUI cycle is $1975 for the monitoring/sperm prep/IUI. Then we also have to pay for the meds out of pocket. It's NOT cheap!Will you be doing a medicated cycle of just IUI?

Got an update from clinic and all 9 embryos are still looking good! Transfer is tomorrow at 11am!!
They only do 2 embryos for donor cycles. Should I push for 3 or just go with the 2?
I wish I knew the magic number to transfer. Maybe if they would entertain 3 you could find out what your odds would be of trips (and associated risks). Whatever happens, I wish you the best and am praying this works. xoxo

cakegal-Did you have 3rd beta check? My clinic doesn't do 3rd beta check. My nurse told me I will be scheduled for first US in the 7th week. I am little worry about ectopic pregnancy kind of thing... Should I get 3 rd beta check? Do you have any nausea symptoms? I don't have any nausea. I just have little swelling boobs.
