I had 4 follies and From what I remember I think the smallest was 16 day before trigger. I tried not to pay attention to it because in the past I would obsess over the sizes. The nurse said I responded above average and they dont like to see more than 4 in an IUI. Im still in disbelief and the next 2 weeks before my u/s is gonna be torture!

I've had to take that - in my thigh - and it stung and was red. Went away after a while. Probably my blind jabbing it into my leg didn't help. I had a hard time with that, rather than my stomach, but that is where my RE told me to do it.. I start it again tomorrow, so the fun will re-begin!!

Ladies. Long time stalker here. I'm going through our 2nd attempt at IVF b/c the we canceled the first one. I didn't respond to the Lupron very well and now am on microlupron.

I had a question and I wondered if anyone had any info on this. My doc wants to change my CDs so that I will be on the schedule he wants me on. Basically Monday was really CD3 but he's changing Wednesday to CD3. I will start microlupron then and my gonal-f on CD5(really CD7). Has anyone heard of this? Will it still work the same way? I'm waiting on him to call me back to explain it to me since the nurse initially called me.

Thanks for any help! And to everyone!

Hi. Is he changing CD3 by keeping you on BCP longer? Sorry, never heard of that, but have heard of altering the schedule through BCP. Either way, !!

Thanks. I'm not giving up, I'm just not putting all my hopes and dreams into it. Miracles happen everyday, so we'll just wait and see.

No, he's just making me wait to start meds this cycle. I'm on nothing right now and it's CD4. Just seems weird, but they said w/ the microlupron and stuff they can control it? IDK.

They control our bodies in so many ways with meds already, so I'm not surprised they can do this, too!!

    Welcome!!!

My RE did u/s on CD3 and had me start BCP's on CD5. RE says that he wanted my ovaries to be completely asleep before starting my med protocol. My RE schedules ER's for specific times of the month and will alter the cycle to coincide with his schedule. Last month there were 5 women getting a ER on the same day. Good luck and sending you baby dust!!!

Yes, it did work like a new cycle, I O'd with one follie and we did our first IUI that cycle!

Exactly!!! It is hard to be upneat and optimistic when you keep having to come back and try again. But it does take just once. Praying that things look better on your next u/s!

Question. During ovulation I usually have pain (middleschmertz).Do you think that considering I have pain on a regular, unmedicated cycle that I will be that much more uncomfortable during all the stimulation of IVF?
Gotta love the coupon! I agree with Rachel - you won't be in pain during stimming (other than the injections - lol), but I was super uncomfortable right before ER. I didn't have any pain during ER, just slight cramping post-ER. But the day before/on the ride to ER, I felt as if my ovaries were the size of basketballs! Good luck to you!!!

I had some stinging with Ganirelex, too. But what I ended up doing was numbing my tummy with ice before my shots. I'd put ice in a zip lock baggy and hold it in place with my pants/sweatpants waistband and left it for 15 minutes. No pain at all. I'm a big believer in using ice to cut the needle pain. I did the same with the progesterone shots after ET and never felt DH giving me the shots. Good luck!

I'm not surprised, as I don't put a whole lot of hope into the whole thing for me anyway.

Next U/S is on Thurs..no new meds until then, just stick with the shot that is in me and then see.. I have to start the ganirelix on Wed, though, to make sure the 1 big follie doesn't burst. What a joke! I'd be sad, but I was already broken a few IVF's ago...
Yay for all the follies, but I don't like the big one that sounds out of control! Hope it doesn't make it to where the others can't grow. I can't wait to see what changes by Thursday!! KUP and pray, pray, pray!

That needle is really uncomfortable going in . ER will not be on Wednesday as originally planned. RE wants more follies to grow so I'll see him on Wednesday for u/s and possible trigger. If that goes well ER will be Friday.

Relief!!! Whew! Sounds like you are headed in the right direction so long as we can get those follies to grow a bit more as they push out the retrieval a couple of days. Shoulds very promising!!

I will get labs and an u/s Wed morning to see if they can tell what is going on. We are still planning on doing a cycle with no medical intervention this cycle if we can get my body to cooperate.
What the heck!??? Let us know what you find out after the b/w & u/s tomorrow. Geez!!

You are a huge inspiration lady! You had a perfect IUI cycle. It's very possible you got 2 that stuck because you are right, they really don't like more than 4 on an IUI due to risk for multiples. You may get a really big surprise in 2 weeks!! No worries, this is what you've been waiting for!!

Monday & Tuesday have been super busy at work, but no emails from my clinic on the donors. I'm getting anxious and closer to just going with one of my girls. I know I want to hold out to see if we can get a match at a discount, but I just want to start planning my cycle already!!

I'm sorry because you probably already explained this - I have to go back pages and catch up, but what does "get a match at a discount" mean? Does your insurance cover it if you go through a special route? I hope you hear something soon and can get the cycle rolling!!!

Thanks for popping in, mama!! How are you feeling??? So happy for you!!

AFM - Started Ganirelix this morning.. Stinging in the thigh, but alright otherwise. Tomorrow u/s and I hope things are looking up. I was feeling my ovaries last night (and can now) - although I wonder if I'm just imagining it all because today is only day 7 of stimming.. Hmmm...I hope it's not the big one growing too huge. I wish I could get daily ultrasounds!

tmsrtb - Well your RE must know what they are doing so I am sure this is going to be good for you. I can't wait to see how you do on this trial. Good luck.

rachel - way to go for NOT giving up

nostoppingme - I know it's long to wait but really it will be much easier not counting cheeper to go with one of the clinic girl. So if you can wait just a little longer try that ;) sorry for that dear. Hugs.

purple - so I see twins ultrasound... so so cute ...so you are doing fine right?

rss - yes it's long to wait for the u/s when so follies are so important... hang in there girl you are doing great. Good luck.

AFM - had my HR OB apt today and I will NEVER go and see her again. She was trying to get me to tell her I was depressed and trying to tell me I am crazy cause I have more then the "normal" amount of kids. She wanted me to see a Social Worker and told me that when we do the next c-section she recommands they tie my tube...

Well I almost laught in her face with that one. I told her it doesn't even matter if you tie my tube those babies are NOT even MINE... I can do this again anytime even with my tube tied I think that's when she tried to make me think I was crazy!!!

So I have my next apt in 4 weeks, so much for being HR... they are 2 at the clinic at the hospital and for sure if next time I go it is her again i will tell them to tell her I missed my apt... NO NEED HER STRESSING ME OUT!!!

So she says definitly another c-section so be it... She was a real bit**... no compassion what so ever treated me like I was a child who didn't know what I was doing. Well she can find another patient to get on from now on.

I'm having ovulation pain, although I'm obviously not ovulating. Am I going ? I can't remember if I ever felt like this before, but I did yesterday and now today. I hope those follies are kicking it up a notch.

Well ladies I had my final u/s and b/w this AM......yaaaaay!! ER scheduled for Saturday @ 8:30. RE said he wanted to get more eggs but will proceed with what we have. He explained that this cycle was trial & error becuase he didn't know how I would respond to the meds. I'll be doing my final follistim tonight and menopur/ganirelex in the morning. Trigger tomorrow night at 9pm.

    Today we had 7 follies:
    (22.8, 17.3, 18.6, 16.1, 15.1, 11.9, 11.9)

    IVF #1 - 6/5 ER, 6/8 ET, 6/22 BFN
    IVF #2 - 9/30 ER, 10/3 ET, 10/14 BFN
    IVF #3 - 12/31 stims

So she says definitly another c-section so be it... She was a real bit**... no compassion what so ever treated me like I was a child who didn't know what I was doing. Well she can find another patient to get on from now on.

    Helene
I agree, you don't need the stress.

Good luck tomorrow! Hoping the ovary discomfort means you're growing more follies, not just the one big one. KUP on what happens tomorrow!!

Sorry about that, Helene. I'd definitely mention the way you were treated to someone. You don't need to deal with that.

It sounds like you're having some follie growth in there! Sorry for the discomfort, but hope it means more eggies for you.

Trigger tomorrow night at 9pm.

    Today we had 7 follies:
