GM .. ladies.. I have a question have any of u gotten a faint BFP and retested two days later and the test seems to be a tad bit fainter then the first one? I m looking for any feedback be it good or bad ...
Wouldn't that be a blessing?!?! Out of the more recent grads from IVF Sisters, the majority are pregnant with twins. It's so exciting!
Hey, we do what we gotta do! But who are you gonna get to watch 3 babies if you get another job!!!Cheaper to just be home and take care of them yourself
.
Wow, we are almost neck to neck! You are a couple of days ahead of me, so you will have to carry me through my last couple of days of the 2ww (lol). I'm so excited to have a cycle buddy!!!![]()

Soooooo, I had a loss in October. Decided that I would go back on clomid in March. Went to Vegas for my 36th birthday three weeks ago. Started waiting for aunt flo to arrive. Felt like she was coming, my cycle date came and went. Decided to take a HPT yesterday and it was positive. If I have LPD, am I going to miscarry?
I'll be going to the doctor in a few minutes to have my levels drawn but every thing I've read states that more than likely I'll miscarriage.
Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to hit my weight goal of 145 for this cycle. Every time I loose 2 pounds, I gain it right back. I'm terrible at denying myself Dorito's, salt & vinegar kettle chips, cupcakes, chocolate...you know the salty & sweet snacks
! So, I GIVE UP!!!
LOL
My goal is to just keep exercising and be happy with me the way I am. I'm not so overweight that it will affect my cycle, but I wanted to have my weight down if I get knocked up because I'm 43 and bound to gain more weight (and in all the wrong places) with a pregnancy than the younger ladies.

Unfortunatly I NEVER get maternity off cause I am a consultant. So it's my dh who takes care of the babies when they are just born (during the day when I am at work) cause he gets parental leave for 9 months fully paid and me not. So as soon as I get home I take care of baby and during the nights
My dh is a real "lady" he does the laundry, bathing the kids, cooks, clean (a littleand puts the kids to bed... I wasn't always like that but he doesn't like the way I do laundry and doesn't like my cooking (gets sick with tomatoes and milk products) and if afraid of deadly germes in meat so he prefers doing everything. Even their bath... he doesn't like the way I give my kids their baths
he, often times, give them a shower prior to giving them a bath, can you believe it
. So he chose to do everything
way for me.
If I have 3 babies though I will definitly need to work from HOME...

I hear ya. I was almost giving up a few days ago. Remember my goal is to be between 120 lbs and 125 lbs. So my dh and I fight so he stops buying chips and sugar cereal etc. He is starting to understand now. So I am at 125 lbs todaySo just a few more days before I can just eat to stay put. I want to be lower like 120 or 122 to start eating again... But of course with my little embies I have been eating a little since I have put them back in including lots of pineapple
Here is my chart: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_3B01bS5aas...ight+chart.jpg

A line is a line If you ask me! BFP! YAY!
So we are not going to do an IUI this month, after today's re-check I only have 1 mature follie. Since we have limited and very expensive sperm I want to wait for more targets. I am going to up my Clomid to 150mg and if that doesn't work the RE said we may try a low low dose of injectables. So no 2010 baby for me![]()
I just wanted to thank everyone for their support and well wishes. I've been "in the cave" for the past couple of weeks, but things are slowly getting better. I do believe we'll have a full term pregnancy, so I'm very optimistic despite being so upset. I won't be posting too much for a while, but I just wanted to say thank you for thinking of me and wish you all good luck. xo PS - I'm currently at work and won't be able to read any replies or I'll start crying! xo
Good luck to everyone cycling this month. I hope this is it for you.
Maria and Karen - I'm so sorry this last cycle didn't work.
Back to the cave...
We are cxl this IUI, only 1 mature egg and I don't want to waste a sample with only one target. RE said I can bump up my Clomid so I will be taking 150mg, if that doesn't work he said we may want to think about a low low dose of injectables. It sucks, now I have a long wait for next cycle.
Everyone....
I too, have been in my cave.
Hubby and I met with our RE yesterday. To make a long story short we will cycle again in April. The changes to my protocol are
1. I will use Lupron this time
2. My dosage of Follistim will be more than the 225 IUs I did with the previous 2 cycles.
Anyone know if there are any major differences in GnRH-agonist cycles vs GnRH-antagonist?
Congrats to all the upcoming cycles!!! I know we will have MORE BFPS!!!!
-Karen
Well, sounds like DH has everything in control on the home front! You are fortunate that he has his ways of doing things to where it takes a lot of the responsibility off of you, but I'm laughing about the bath-issue! Well, I guess he has his pet peeves!
Good for you!You are doing great with your weight goals. I've never tried the pineapple diet after transfer to help with implantation, but I think I will run it by the IVF nurse and try this cycle. Anything to increase my chances for implantation!!!
Well we are glad you came out of the cave to say hello. Recovering is tough. Hang in there hun
.
Wow, you always bounce right back up and quickly give it another go! What an inspiration.
Remind me how many eggs you retrieved on your other IVF cycle(s).
The most commonly used ovarian stimulation protocols for IVF are:
1. Luteal Lupron protocol also called "long Lupron", or agonist "down regulation"
2. Antagonist protocols that involve use of of the GnRH antagonist medications
3. Flare and micro-flare protocols, also called short Lupron protocols, or short protocols are used for patients expected to have a low response to ovarian stimulation.
Medications used to suppress the LH surge and ovulation until the follicles are mature are either GnRH-agonist (gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist) such as Lupron, or GnRH-antagonist such as Ganirelix or Cetrotide.
Oh honey, no worries, you are cycling with a pro!Looks like Karen may also be a cycle buddy!!!
You have a busy weekend! Please KUP on your trial transfer and antral follicle count. How exciting!! As for DH, he has the easy part, but no doubt he will whine like most of the guys do over the S/A.He'll survive!
