Mspy, I just HATE that you had to go through that I am very nervous about OHSS. How soon did you get your first U/S following the start of your stims? I go in 10/9/08 to get scanned, which will be on the 7th day of my stims, but I don't take the stims until night, so I will have only taken six shots. Did your OHSS happen that quickly?

I'm not sure exactly when my ER will be yet, but sometime in the next few weeks

Hi Ladies,

Just got back from my second ultrasound.
Everything looks good.
Baby A's heartbeat was low compared to B and C, but, I am trying not to get too worried. I believe everything is going to be fine and I will have as many babies as I am supposed to.

I am waiting for a call from the nurse because I am going to be going a High Risk doctor from now on amd they are making an appt for me for next week. I was a little sad because today was the last day of seeing my RE and I really like him. He is so compassionate and he really made sure he saw me for 95% of my appointments.

MSPY - I start stimming on Saturday with my first U/s and B/w next Friday 10/10, I'm looking at an E/R on 10/15 with E/T on 10/18 based on previous cycles but hoping it gets pushed out a day as this will match my natural cycle and even with all this extra help I believe mother nature still has her way of maintaining control.
Erin guess we are cycle buddies. Thanks for your reply. At least with the last 3 cycles we know what doesn't work.

Hi ladies i went to my second ultrasound and boy it was great it has a head and a body,and we heard the heart beat. my hubby and i was crying, I go back on the 14th for my last appointment w/ this doctor then start going to my regular one.Im 7weeks tomorrow. Erin...I looked at your story and the tears liked to never stopped falling. I am so praying for you that your IVF goes well.

Madmax...I pray for your IVF to go well also. It is such an exciting journey but it can sure keep us on the edge of our seat.

I had my first IVF (after failed IUI's) on Sept 21. I am going to my RE at 7:30 tomorrow morning for my first beta. As it gets closer to time for my appt the more anxious and impatient I get! Once again thanks for all the support and I will let all of you know my results tomorrow.

So much has happened in just few days! I soooooo want to join the action badly.....hehehe

Erin: Yay for first u/s! That was exactly what my RE said when I had my first u/s, "nice and quiet". Just make sure your ovaries don't get too big if not you'll end up like me (my ovaries swell up bigger than 10cm each side when I had OHSS). It didn't subside until 1st week of AF the following cycle. My ovaries were so huge that there moved over to my diaphragm when I lay down causing difficulty in breathing. Whens your ER and ET?

Madmax: Yes i am just as glad as you are when AF arrived (ready to being IVF cycle). Cycle buddies with Erin? Do you have your estimated ER and ET?

Hey ladies,

I am new to this TTC/IVF, I started the lupron on the 18th of Sept and today 10/2 I got my first shot of the Menopur. I am suppose to take 2 shots of menopur a day and one of the lupron. I have never done this so I am pretty confused and I think going crazy They also told me that my EA was 51.6 not sure what that means.

Erin, "nice and quiet" sounds just perfect. Mine were never too painful and I got seven good eggies to work with (though more grew overall), so here's hoping they're not painful but produce lots of beautiful, perfect sized eggs! And it is a total emotional rollercoaster, but I keep thinking, it has to be worth it all in the end!

RSC, that sounds like a perfect second Beta! I hope we're all so lucky, girl!

mspy, I want you to join in the action, too! Can't wait to hear about your FET. :celebrate:

Girls, I looked up the side effects of progesterone (Why? Why?) and now I'm beginning to worry that my symptoms are just the progesterone, and not PG. Can anyone share their experience after taking progesterone suppositories? I need some good news...

Elle, STEP AWAY FROM THE STICK!!! You are less than 72 hours away from hearing the BEST news straight from the horse's mouth. The definitive, don't have to question it, wonder about it, worry about, hold the stick up to the light, post it on here for second opinions, no fooling around NEWS. I will be watching this space on Monday. But as I told RSC, if you crack, for heaven's sake - update us!!!
As for the progesterone, I was on the supp. a number of times, but did the PIO after IVF. That was my first and only pregnancy, and I have to say the symptoms were WAY different from the prog supp. My boobs were sore in both cases, but with the pg they got HUGE. Not just bigger but 2 sizes bigger. FAST. Then there was the whole food thing. Like being starving but vaguely nauseous at the same time, requiring the EXACT food in my head to avert disaster. Oh, and a weird taste in my mouth. Like, chemical or metallic, maybe? So, enquiring minds want to know - what are your symptoms, woman???

Max, I think you have a knockout protocol this time and am sending loads of prayers for SUPER success!

ajf, mspy and Mia, what are your FET timelines looking like? I am pleased to report that the old witch is in the house!!! If I get the all-clear on the fibroids next week (oh please, oh please, oh please) I am back in the game! Do I hear cycle buddies?

We are starting femara after this round of provera, or if I get my period on the provera which happens sometimes. I really, really hope this makes a difference. We did clomid (3rd round at 50 mg 3-7) for the girls. I seem to get pregnant ok, I just have miscarriages between 5-12 weeks. Hopefully the prometrium and the controlled cycle will make a difference. I am really tired/scared of miscarrying at this point. I have a feeling this will take a while though.

I was not strong, i did poas 6days past 5 day transfer and it showed positive. I have no will power when it came to poas!

Thanks... I was just wondering why my RE office are planning to do U/S on Monday. Seemed kind of soon to me. Maybe Im wrong but I did not think you could get heartbeat that quick. I will only be 15 days past 5 day transfer by then.

Doctors can do an ultrasound once the beta is over 2000.
At that time they can see the gestational sac and sometimes the fetal pole, but, if you are under 6 weeks pregnant, they most likely will not here/ see heartbeat (too early).

So on Sunday I poas and got a very faint I thought I was making it up and Monday it was even lighter. Tuesday (my FF test date) was a little darker but not as dark as Sunday. I called my Drs. Office and they had me come for bloodwork. They said it was low (32) but definately positive and where it should be and I did the repeat on Thursday & it tripled to 97!!

Dh is very excited. I was so sick today that I lived on bagel chips and all things ginger up until a couple hours ago.

What else should I tell you all? Up until Wed. I had no real symptoms other than what I would consider normal (for myself) as pms. The whole reason why I tested was to prove to my dh it was going to be negetive...yeah. I had what I would call a twinge or mild cramping since about 4 dpIUI which still persists but the doc said it was nothing to worry about. This was my first IUI, we've been using fds (frozen donor sperm) as husband does not produce spermies. No ultrasounds or meds though. My opk's were Target brand and this time I did verify with a digital which didn't showed + a day after the target brand and the same day as IUI.

Well, I think that's everything!Don't give up! It can happen!
