Glad the biopsy was a breeze. You'll get used to working with the syringes & bubbles! Just make sure you get those meds into your system!! LOL

Oh - I want us to all be pregnant together too! It would be wonderful to be able to hang out in the Expecting boards with you all! and it sounds like some of us could very well be in the same due date month!

Oh, I forgot to mention that my 2nd BETA is tomorrow. Please say a prayer that all is well. It’s just another hoop to jump in this long journey, but of course I'm nervous! I'm putting on my running shoes!

I also did my Lupron injection, and that wasn't as awful as I thought either. I was most worried about whether I was getting all the air bubble out of the syringe, since I seemed to have trouble pushing them out once I flicked them to the top.
My nurse said not to worry about the bubbles, they wont hurt ya :-)

I can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm so glad you ar eready to take off running! I have so much faith that this pregnancy will end happily for you.

That's good to know - Thanks! I spend like 10 minutes this morning making sure there were none that would come through the needle! I hope I get quicker at this.

Btw, I read somewhere that initially, Lupron increases your FSH levels...does that mean it doesn't prevent ovulation at first? I know this probably is a really dumb question, but I really have no idea how any of this works!

I sure hope it happens!! I want so badly to be able to continue this walk with women who I have walked with through the IVF process. This has been one of the biggest rides of my life and I continue to pray that we are getting closer to our BFP and our dreams finally coming true. To have women like yourselves to share this experience with would be a gift!

Leuprolide acetate (Lupron) is an injectible gonadtropin releasing hormone (GnRH) analog, which means it works against the affects of GnRH. Since GnRH stimulates the release of the hormones LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), Lupron decreases LH and FSH levels. Lupron is also used to quiet ovaries before in vitro fertilization.

Lupron is a prescription drug that suppresses the ovaries if taken for more than a few days. However, the effect of Lupron for the first week or so of administration is different; it lowers FSH and causes a "flare" effect, meaning it temporarily stimulates the ovaries rather than suppresses them, according to Advanced Fertility. Taking Lupron for several days and then stopping it can lower FSH and give the ovaries a "boost" to produce eggs.

    Default Last BCP today!!!

Ok ladies, tonight is my last BCP! I have been doing 5 units of lupron every evening since Saturday. The goal is to lower FSH and give my ovaries a boost vs. the effects of a long lupron cycle meant to supress. As soon as AF comes I stop the lupron.

Then on Monday I start estrogen patches & ganirelix. Next day is my stim day 1 u/s and b/w and I pray I get the green light to start stims the next day!

I am no longer on my weight loss kick, but I will continue to exercise (nothing aggressive) as my body permits.

Mayra - Waiting to hear what your 2nd beta is!! I'm so excited & I just know the number has doubled (or more) already in 2 days.

Thanks - this is very helpful! So, since I'm doing an FET, I don't want to ovulation to occur - if it does, it would stop my cycle. I started 10 units of Lupron yesterday, and will be taking it every single day. My baseline ultrasound is 4/7. Should I worry that the Lupron might make me ovulate, or is that only if you stop and then start it??

You are not taking it for a short period like I am (just several days), so it will supress for you.

Thanks! I know I should just trust the clinic to do their job, but I tend to worry about every little thing, so you gave me 1 less thing to concern myself with!

You are understandably a worry-wart! I'm sure there are enough women on this thread who can share their experiences & knowledge to take the edge off for you.

Mayra - Where are you??? Looking for that 2nd beta number hun!

Well Sister Friends, I have my results! I’m sorry I couldn’t post earlier, but I actually felt very nauseous and had to lie down for awhile. My second beta was 1338, so it more than doubled! Thank you so much for your prayers and positive energy. I was worried because in my first pregnancy, the number tripled and was told it was good, but it ended in a miscarriage. In the second pregnancy the numbers didn’t quite double, and I had to have a 3rd beta, but of course it also ended in a miscarriage. I’m optimistic that this time it doubled, so I’m taking it as a good sign. I really am trying my best to be positive, and you ladies really help! I have the ultrasound scheduled for April 15th.

I can’t wait for Rhonda, Stacie and Heather to join me, and anyone else that's starting soon!!! 2010 is our year!!!

Mayra - that is SO exciting!!! Your ultrasound is on the day we fly to VA, so I hope I can get on and see how your u/s went!! I'm going to be so anxious to hear how many babies you are baking!

Helene - good luck and have fun house hunting - and I woudl say that sensation is definitely a sign! Heavy and sore boobs was definitely the first sign for me that I was pregnant with Madelyn, and then morning sickness kicked in right at 6 weeks. Those weeks weren't exactly a bed of roses, but it is still precious because you know why your body is doing it, and I can't wait for that feeling again! Although I wouldn't complain if m/s was a little easier on me next time, hehe.

Update for me: 2nd IUI is scheduled for tomorrow. I have one follie on the right at 20 and one on the left at 19.5. So not many to work with, but at least they were good size. Let's pray this works.

My E2, FSH, and progesterone levels came back in the good range today. Dh's S/A revealed elevated white blood cell count. Now he has to go to another one and they will test it for different things. He will not be happy.
