Generic clomid costs $9 for five 50mg pills at the Walmart in my area. It's part of their cheap meds program and yes, you need a prescription for it.

Whoo hoo for a nice progesterone reading, good luck!!!!

I'm not goign to do another one right away. Definitely waiting one cycle maybe two.

I'm being picky and saying I'm not going to try with RE this month so I wouldn't have a baby right after Christmas. I also am having minor surgery on Monday to remove a Titanium bolt from my knee.

Thanks everyone for the hugs and notes!

hi, just checking in back from the IUI board. I ahve been everywhere.

has anyone heard of IVM? Instead of IVF? Has anyone's doctor discussed this as an alternative? Any success stories? I think it is pretty new.

After (5) IUI's (1) IVF and a recent cath tuboplasty to open my blocked fallopian tube, I have an appt with my Doc and DH to discuss new game plan.

Just looking into other options on the internet! Thanks in advance!

What does a polypectomy consist of?
It's an outpatient prodecure. They do a hysteroscopy (dilate the cervix and go in with a scope that way) and he'll remove the polyp and possibly do a mini D&C depending on what he sees.

Tasha - Sorry your IUI didn't work!

    Back to lurk...

Congrats Helene on your awesome betas!!!

Due to a planned trip I can't do an April cycle, so it got moved to May.

I already have my meds....just waiting.

I've talked with a few doctors that do acupunture...I am leaning very heavily towards it.

Praying for BFPs for all the upcoming cycles and the ladies that are in the 2ww.

Sounds like you, Stacie & me are all on our way to our BFP's!!
Don't sweat the Lupron shots. They are small needles and you give yourself the shot subcutaneous in the stomach. If you pinch the skin & go straight in, you don't even feel it. They are a breeze. Don't stress yourself out!

Nothing for me. Injection sites are fine & no side effects. Still good to go!

    AFM:
Started Lupron (agonist) Saturday evening. Take my last BCP on Wednesday and start Vivelle Dot patches (Estrogen) and Ganirelix (antagonist) next Monday! Tuesday next week is my Stim Day 1 exam (u/s & b/w). If everything looks good I start high dosage FSH meds (gonal-f) that day. This is the AACP (agonist-antagonist conversion protocol) with estrogen priming. Wish me lots of luck!!

I have a suggestion... you can lay down and pull your belly skin to the side with your left hand, then lay the needle down sideways so that when you let the skin go, it goes right into the needle. An acupuncturist showed me this technique and it def is less painful. Good luck!

Yeah! BFPs here we come! I start my patches this coming Friday. Where are you going to put yours? I haven't decided the best place for them yet!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to practice on oranges tonight too, since this will be the first shot I have ever given to myself or otherwise! Someone also recommended alcohol wipes with an analgesic in them.

I haven't received instructions on where to put the patches yet, but I will go online (Freedom Fertility) or email the IVF nurse to see what is most recommended. I think I've heard mention of the stomach, but that doesn't seem possible since I have lots of shots going into the stomach for weeks. Either way, I'm just glad to be getting started!
