I am writing with a quick update. I went to the RE yesterday morning for my bloodwork and first U/S since the positive beta. They want to make sure everything is going ok. Well I saw the yolk sac and then the Dr moved the wand to show me the 2nd yolk sac!! Twins!!! I am freaking out!!! The nurse called later in the day to give me my beta and progesterone numbers which are all normal and then said it to me again, "so I see there are two little ones in there".....seriously?? Can you tell I was ready for one, not two??

Obviously I am happy, but still in shock!
Holy smokes! That's exciting! I can imagine the shock, but it will be fun..and fine..

    Good luck!

Babyfever - Welcome back, and good luck with the egg donor. I've heard of many success stories with donor eggs. Praying you're another one.

We're doing a 5 day transfer. We have 4 - 8 cell , "perfect" (per RE) embies. I got the call at 7 am this morning, and I didn't think to ask about the other 6 embies. I hope some of those will be good to freeze. Anyone know what the standards are for freezing?

Shannon that is great news! Congrats!!! So what day are we looking at then? I'm not sure what the protocol is for freezing...but I had 2 fair blasts frozen...so I dont think they have to be perfect to freeze. Best of luck to you!!

Do you let them know at work (and how do you tell) why you have to be missing for hours at a time or do you just go on short term disability for the duration of the process? Each workplace is different for my monitoring my RE's office opens at 7 so I am usually an hour late for work. I get notes.

What's the recovery time after retrieval? Normal outpatient recovery time.

Do they give you general anesthetic for the retrieval or are you awake the entire time? They put you under maybe twilight to general.

. How long is the entire process from beginning to end (if I'm correct, the process starts day 3 of cycle right?)? Sorry about all the questions but I'm clueless

COngrats CJ and CHarissa and all the others I may have missed. Thanks for the encouragement from the rest of you. My meds class is set for tomorrow with my SIS next week. I am really excited about my first IVF cycle, but at the same time anxious for it to be over. I read that one of you stated that your clinic had a 92% success rate of bringing home baby. THat is really high. My clinic has about a 68.9% success rate of bringing home baby. Should I be concerned?

    Congratulations to Xevy and cjlyric07!

shouston26: Wow! 4 "perfect" embies! That is great news.

kss717/Miss Magnolia/Ashley - Good luck with the new cycles.

Welcome 41TTC, impossiblespirit, and BabyFever! Good luck with everything. I'm just starting my 1st IVF cycle also and I'm still a little nervous, too. Everyone here has been so helpful.

lsolt - Keeping my fingers crossed that your embies stick.

Mspy - So sorry to hear that you weren't diagnosed before now. I know that is so frustrating, but now that you know what is wrong, you can get the treatment needed.

Update on me - There isn't much going on with me. I'm still doing the Lupron injections and will go back in Thursday morning for labs/u/s and injection instructions for my stims. For the first time the other morning, I bled a little after my injection. That has never happened before and I guess I just hit a blood vessel or something. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

Well, hope I didn't miss anyone. to everyone!

Seriously, this is sooooo slllllow. It is only 6 dpo/dpiui. 2ww is the worst. Have you had any symptoms? I was unexplicably cramping slightly on Saturday. I thought, OH, NO. AF can't come 4 dpo. But it went away. I took my normal 2 mile walk today at lunch and felt good. Who knows, it is really in God's hands right?? I am praying, hoping and wishing we are successful this month. I guess I am April 7th too. Will it really show up only 14 dpo?

I finally got the call from my Dr.’s office.

    I’m pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I’m pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!

I am excited, but very nervous because of everything I went through last year. I pray to God that this is it for us. My hcg was 203! I go back Wednesday for the second test. Please pray that my numbers will be “normal”. I’m keeping all of you in my prayers, something I definitely believe in. I can not believe it…

Lee Ann: I can’t wait until Saturday to hear your news!

Rhonda & everyone: Thank you for your prayers and support!

Well, the plan is Friday but, secretly I've been POAS for 2 days strait!

Originally I told my self that I was "testing out the trigger" to make sure I did have a BFN but, I was just really seeing what it was...I'm a POAS addict.

So, I'll let you know what it is tomorrow!
TTC for 1.5 years, 1 MC, Fertility Meds, Adoption Process started 8/09, after 3 fall throughs we have our miracle! Born 4-28-10!!!

I hate that...I have cramping/twinges around 4-6 DPO all the time. I always get freaked out or try to read into it, and I still have NO idea why it happens. I hope it means something good for you, though!
