Nope another BFN. I'm so not happy, but thanks for asking. My Re had said that my fever did not come at a good time but since I was already taking antibiotics they couldn't do much. In the meantime, I got a second opinion on having my fibroid removed and she concurred that it needs to come out b/c of the higher risk of multiples with IVF & the fibroid is the size of a babies head (that threw me!) We go in Tues to get surgery scheduled- I hope it doesn't get delayed b/c holidays are coming and my RE only does surgery a few days a month. It looks likes like I'm out for a couple months For sure a healthy pregnancy is most important, but I was so hoping to announce a BFP at Christmas. I think I'll be better once I get the surg scheduled and know when I can try again.

Kristen, cycle buddy what is happening with you at the mo. I know I've not been around much but I have been thinking of you tonnes.

I had ER yesterday and got 29 eggies. 15 for me and 14 for my egg recipient. I had to go in for another scan this morning to check if we can still go ahead with the transfer as i'm at high risk of OHSS. I have a small amount and praying that it doesn't get worse before Thursday. Been told complete bed rest till Thurs so I shall be off but wanted to quickly check in to see how you are all doing.

Does anyone have any ideas to help OHSS apart from water and rest?

Emma? What's the scoop w/ the eggies? How many fertlized? Did you have the transfer yet?

I hope things go better for you in the very near future. I know how disappointments feel. It doesn't help either when everywhere you turn there are pregnant people that seem to "rub" it in. I think about what month I'll give birth every month. I would love to have a BFP for the holidays. It's hard to stay positive when sometimes it seems so far out of reach.

So the Dr just calls me (Dr never calls, just the nurses w/ instructions) and says she just wanted to let me know what is going on w/ my cycle. She said I will trigger tonight and have 4 eggs that are all ready to go. She said my estradiol level is higher than last cycle (is that a good thing??) and if worse comes to worse than can convert me to IUI.
So if my #'s are better and I have 4 eggs ready to go AND we are doing ICSI, the only way I would do IUI is if they were unable to get any eggs out right?? Did she just call and freak me out for nothing?

    It didn't work. :crying:

I know that you guys have been in this right along with me, the whole time and I am so grateful. I don’t even think I have the words to tell you all how much you mean to me.

Right now I feel the most profound sadness, the deepest anger, and hatred for my body. What is WRONG with me? Why not me? Why is this happening? I just have so many questions that do not have answers.

Jacob and I will get through this, I know, but it is so hard. He already wants to try again, but when I say that we spent everything we had to try this, I mean everything. It is like my entire world just came crashing down and I wonder when the tears will stop.

All of the needles and doctors appointments, all of the planning, all of the hoping, all of the anxiety, the dreams, the let downs, and the triumphs….not worth anything.

Have I lost all hope?….I don’t have an answer for that question either, but right now, hope is the last thing on my mind. I do not have the strength to hope, not now, maybe not for a long time.

Thank you for everything. I might be taking a break for awhile, but I will be stalking you guys.

    Love,

    Erin

Oh Erin...I'm so sorry that it didn't work out Please don't be too hard on yourself and more importantly don't loose hope! You've got us for support here and also's Jacob's positive attitude.

    Kristen: Good Luck!

Max sorry to hear that this cycle did'nt work out too. It's very noble of you to choose adoption instead of egg donation cycle. All the best!

MrsH...take lots of protein for OHSS (eg: egg white, protein drinks like sustagen, etc etc). The protein absorbs the fluids. If you can't keep water down, try Ribena. I could'nt keep the water inside my body because I keep throwing up when I had OHSS. Apart from that...lotsa rest!

I'm on CD 20 and FINALLY ovulated! Has'nt showned on my chart yet (no spike but a huge dip). I am amazed how accurately RE predicted ovulation will occur (either late last night or early this morning) with no meds. The scan show missing follicle (which was 20ish mm yesterday) and fluids (proof of ovulation) today. I'm scheduled for FET on Saturday late morning or early noon. I've started cyclogest (natural progesterone) today and lucky no PIO. Please pray for me that everything goes well .

Erin, babe...I'm so sorry to hear your news. I know how you feel right now, but as I type, and I think back on our previous failures, I remember how all the hurt and anger is really concentrated into those first couple of days. OK, maybe those first few days...
But slowly, the hope does creep back in. You WILL make this work. You have the determination, the will, and the supportive DH to make it happen.
Take your time to heal, but know that we'll be thinking of you lots.

I had a little cramping here and there after the IUI for a few days, I told my RE and she said I was experience OHSS, but I didn't even know it was OHSS. My fingers are crossed for your BFP!!! I go for my follicle study on Saturday to see how many follies I made this month.

Oh, Erin. I am crying for you. That is so heartbreaking, and I'm so, so sorry. I don't have any words of wisdom that will make you feel better right now, but I do want to say that you should take the time you need to grieve and find peace at your own pace. I want to send you a big, fat bear hug and tell you that I will keep you in my . I know that you will be a mommy, and an amazing one at that.:<3:

Maxine, I'm so sorry that your embies didn't take. I also think it's wonderful that you have such a healthy attitude about it all. There are tons of babies out there waiting to be adopted and I hope you find the joy you seek!

Lisa, wonderful re: your U/S! So glad the babies are doing so well. I can't wait to see my LO looking like a baby. So far, it's been sort of fuzzy and I'm getting excited for my election day U/S! I'm sorry that you're feeling so bad. I think there's something to that theory about the extra hormones. I literally gag now when I have to take my progesterone suppositories (and obviously, I'm not taking them orally!) I hope your meds get straightened out soon and you start to feel better ASAP! Thanks for asking about me. I have been dealing w/ M/S and have just been so busy. I am trying to ride the M/S out the best I can and keep positive because I know it will all be worth it in the end.

Sylvia, yey for getting your start date. !!!

Alma, I hope you get rid of that cold soon. That must be terrible. How exciting to see the flip flops. Weeeeeeeeeeee!

Frances, I've had a couple of those menstrual-type migraines, too, but the good news is that they only lasted for a few hours, as opposed to several days pre-PG. Here's hoping that's the end of that! Feel good, and let us know when you find out the genders!

Emma, sorry to hear about the OHSS, even if it's not full blown. I hope you can still go ahead w/ the ET, and if not, does that mean they'll be frozen and held for next month?

Kristen, three eggies is still good. You never know how many you end up with by the time ER happens, so I'm  that you get exactly as many as you need! Is it happening tomorrow or Saturday? BEST OF LUCK!!!
