    Default My latest craft project

I'm sharing here since we don't have a craft area anymore. We are learning about our organs this week (we homeschool), so I took a stuffed bear, cut him open, sewed a background and reinforced the flaps. Then I sewed some felt organs (obviously not all of them. I may add some later, if I feel like it). I definitely underestimated the time and effort it would take, as well as the amount of kid free time I would have to accomplish it. lol Its my first completely hand sewn project (not my gifting. Don't look close at the stitching. Its not pretty.)
It was a fun project! I haven't introduced him to the girls yet, but I hope that it will be a fun play based, hands on learning tool that will spark lots of questions.

Very nice! Mira went all ooey-gooey, and then identified the parts. It's a great idea.

G would go bananas for that! He loves a soft teddy and he loves him some blood and guts. He's big into anatomy and how the body functions.
