Diabetic, again. I'm a little upset. I was with my son too (pg #2). End rant/vent

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating but manageable. I think it took me two weeks, both times, to make my peace with it.

Huge hugs. On a brighter note you have just a bit left. So hopefully nothing serious.

Thanks, I still have to do the 3h glucose tolerance, but doc said even if it comes back normal, he wants me to watch my carbs. I'll deal, I've only got 53 days left.

Time doesn't really count here, right? Had it with my babygirl and it just sucks even for a short time. But think of the feeling when pregnancy is over.... I felt like a little child with unlimited budget in a sweets shop while beeing grocery shoping for the first time. All those choises again

Am I supposed to eat every 2 hours or 4 hours?

I'm not sure what it should be for GD but I had to remind myself to eat every 3 hrs during the 1st trimester to avoid feeling awful....even made myself a sticky note (eat at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm & 7pm) so I'd remember to eat. Does your doc provide any pointers?

Well, with DS, I had GD and I had to go to a class and I believe I was told every 2 hours. 30 carbs each, except for after breakfast snack. I have not been totally diagnosed with it, but he told me even if my 3h came back normal, he still wants me to go on a carb diet.

I just come from a pregnancy with GD.... I wasn't told to eat every 2 or 4 hours but to eat at least 6 small meals during the day. I ended up eating around every 3 hrs (6a.m., 9 a.m. 12 a.m.....). And I also was told to eat a late protein rich snack so that the bloodsuger would not drop too much over night but also stays low enough. As concerning the carbs: very low on morning, as low as possible and not more than 45g in the evening. Hope that will help you a little bit.
