Default Does this look right (carseat question w/ pic)?

I just bought the Graco Nautilus for my 7yr old dd. Does this look right or should I lower the strap down one which is almost even, but slightly below, her shoulder?

I always thought the straps were not supposed to be above the shoulders like that, that they should be at or below the shoulders.

They look good to me. They are suposed to be at or above the shoulders.

below the shoulders for RF, at or above for FF. I would leave them where they're at. If you move them down they'll be just below the shoulders which can cause undue strain on the shoulders and back from what I understand.

Huh. I'll have to check Nathan's and see where they are.

looks, good. One suggestion i have seen is to take the cover off and see where the slots are when determining if the straps are really below the shoulders. Or another method is to stick a ruler in the slot and have the child sit in it. Sometimes the cover can slide down and make it appear they are lower than they are. But really if they are that close they will have to move up soon anyway.

    Thank you ladies !

I thought it was right, but wasn't sure since the next lowest was so close. I'm excited to have my 6.5 and 7yr old back into 5pt harnesses, especially for long trips when they sleep
