Default Oh ladies, I'm just devastated.

I has started.... 10 minutes ago I felt a large gush. Ran to the bathroom and there is bright blood and a large bright clot the size of a half dollar.

My sil was already coming over so DH and I could have a date. We will be going to ER instead to see is happening. DH is still at work, I've tried calling him a few times with no luck. I had to send him the horrible text message. No date, bleeding...ER instead. Haven't heard back.
I'm jus trying to breathe right now.

Around 11 am I felt twinges in my lower left side of back while driving...thought nothing of it til now.

I will update after the ER

My tears are so happy. I'm grateful to see my baby again with a heartbeat. I've gone thru 2 large pads while waiting. U/s went good but I have not been able to see a doctor yet. They will be checking my cervix.

Unfortunately, I am having waves of pain in my uterus/lower abdomen. Still passing a few clots with each pad. No matter how this ends got to see my beautiful baby again. Measuring 9w1d and another measurement of 9w3.

Hang on there. This is soooo hard. I will say a prayer right now for you. For strength and peace. And for the doc to find out what's going on.

That is a pretty baby pic

Finally in a bed. IV started.... Not that I need one but it's the ER. Blood drawn, that won't help either but I guess knowing hcg levels will be nice. Still waiting for a doc.

Thanks for all the support and prayers ladies. It is so needed. I just got a paper for bed rest and pelvic rest, my email update just said my blood work is already back but it won't upload for me. I'll just have to wait I guess. Hopefully the radiologist will be done soon so the doc can come in.

Finally home. The specialist I saw was my old OB, the one who first suggested progesterone for my pregnancies. I trust him, I don't know why but I feel like I have my 3 beautiful children because of him. Anyway, my cervix is thankfully closed, but He did confirm the active bleeding (thanks doc, I knew that though)......although it has turn like burgandy now. He was very strict about his best rest rules. Off my feet completely except to pee. Try to hold off on daily showers (I never did that anyway). No sex of course. Keep my progesterone the same. As we all know, and he verbalized, at this stage e treatment is the same as 200 years ago. There is really nothing to be done. (Prayer helps).

So my mom came and helped me pack up the kids. I'm at my parents for the day. DH is working until 4pm, but thankfully he has arranged to be home Monday and Tuesday. I have had no bleeding yet, and no pain. I was up on my feet for about an hour trying to get things ready, kids fed, etc. just thankful gravity didn't take effect. I don't think yesterday would have been so panicky for me if I would have success find Lo on my Doppler. I have never struggled this much.

I forgot to ask about my breast feeding.... Preston is nursing 4x in 12 hours. Pretty short sessions 15mins or so. I breastfed ds1 until I was 13 weeks with DD. I truly do not believe breast feeding has any effect on miscarriage, but what are your thoughts? Does anyone have experience in this area? (I think Kelly O. You have mentioned bfing while pg?). Preston is such an attached baby, it took me a week to get him off the 12 noon bfing session. I can't imagine cutting him cold turkey. Plus, even just missing his one session last night had me swollen by midnight (thankfully not sore or leaking).

I'm so glad you haven't had anymore bleeding !! Really praying whatever this issue was, it resolved!

I personally don't think bfing is a factor in m/c and to date there are no studies that suggest it that I know of (I really only have access to google and the free .gov studies, but I've done a lot of reading on it over the years because of my history of loss). None of my care-providers have ever suggested bfing as a cause of any of my losses and when I asked them they outright said no, bfing does not cause m/c.

I have bf throughout 2 full term pgs and beyond as well as 1-4months into a couple of my full term pgs with no issues .

Yes, I have never read anything research either. I know my doctors only say breast feeding into the 3rd tri risks preterm labor, but I've never researched that on my own. (How much can nip stem really do??)

    thanks kelly

When you consider that some women even when induced at full-term or even post-dates with high levels of synthetic oxytocin *still* don't go into labor...it doesn't really make sense that bfing might stim preterm labor . LOL, and I so hoped bfing would help with my L&Ds in some way, but nope, not at all .

Are they going to do a repeat hCG? That's really the only way those numbers ever make sense, in relation to other labs.

Aside from my firstborn, I've nursed during every pregnancy and while I have had one m/c I don't believe it had anything to do with breastfeeding.

Praying for you! Really glad that your family is able to rally around you to help take care of you and the kids and that you haven't had any more bleeding!!
