    Default Brittany_dawn updates

Feeling very optimistic hitting 8w and experiencing 0 spotting, not even a smidge of brown! I thought I would share my little family story and do simple updates.

#1 my little angel('07): HB confirmed at 8 week u/s, spotting in week 9 u/s showed everything fine with normal growth, spotting 12w5d Doppler confirmed HB in ER. Severe bleeding at 13w6d, ER unable to pick up HB via Doppler. Follow up with OB next morning 14w and confirmed passing. I denied the d&c (as I was already bleeding I felt my body could naturally handle, plus it's hard to explain but I felt for mourning reasons I needed to go through the natural process to say good bye). Water broke at 6pm (though I thought I had peed due to all the pain down there). I was told that I would pass blood clots and have AF pains. NOT the case. Back in the ER as I was being forced to pee in a cup I felt sharp pains in my vagina, I felt and something was coming out... I thought maybe a large clot. I put the cup there and slightly pushed, my baby came out. I was hysterical as I practically crawled back into my room holding my baby in the cup. My mother and Shaun were freaking out shouting for a nurse. It was all just unexpected. We got to have a moment with our little angel. Perfect in every way just very transparent and the size of my palm. I still have dreams (they are not always good).

#2 my little jellybean('08): viability scan at 6w4d so happy for a heart beat. Absolutely no spotting or unusual happenings, normal m/s. 9 wk ob appointment and confirmation dating u/s showed baby had passed away the day before at 8w6d. I stayed 2 hours and 3 different doctors scan me to confirm. Denied d&c again, instead my ob wanted me to use a cervical dialator (a few pills I had place intravaginally) I can't remember the name now. 2 days of passing fetal tissue followed by 9 days of AF type bleeding. Hcg monitoring until they went to non-pg levels.

#3 Tristan('09): began progesterone at 4w1d-12w. Contractions at 38w6d, 19 hours labor, 39week delivery. No pain meds or epi. No augmentation of any kind during labor (although they were so pushy about pitocin) sunnyside up. BF 11 months

    #4 Brooke('11) began progesterone at 4w-11weeks. Contractions 38w3d late night, 8hr labor, delivered 38w4d. No aug/meds/epi. Sunnyside up. BF 13 1/2 months

#5 Preston('13) began progesterone at 4w5d-11weeks. Contractions 38w5d early labor for 18 hrs, 6hours active 38w6d delivery, sunnyside up. No Aug /meds /epi. Currently BFing.

#6 peanut ('13) was flat out denied progesterone 3x. Spotting at 7w. confirmed via u/s 7w1d. Bleeding 7w4d ER u/s confirmed HB hcg levels good (bed rest), follow-up u/s with ob 7w6d baby looked great( continued bed rest). 8w extreme bleeding/passing tissue, less than 24hrs from last u/s, new u/s showed no baby.

#7 current: BFP 3w3d, progesterone 3w5d-current. Doppler at 7w3d 117 (low of 109 high 125bpm) counting down til my first u/s on Friday 4/25!!!!!!!

Good thing I guess.... My youngest yorkie is having tummy problems (the older one was too a few days ago) anyway the lovely diarrhea is on my floor and down her back legs (yuck). Normally it's not a bother but it made me gag today. I'm not typically a gager...pg symptom?

So instead of my babies facing downward toward my butt where it's nice and soft as they descend they have all faced up ward into my pelvis, which (ironically) makes for intense back labor and very tough pushing. My daughter thankfully flipped as I was in transition, but my boys never flipped until I was actively pushing. It's very intense and hard to push. My OB tried rotating ds2 while I was pushing but I asked her not to touch me (I have it on video it's kinda funny now). He flipped on his own after I pushed for about 5 mins. That's when they just plop out after that. Lol.

So frustrating when Doctors won't listen to your past experiences.

I was between insurances, so this clinic I chose because my sis has delivered 4/6 there. I don't like that practice... Not just because the whole denying my script, but just the vibe.

It's finally u/s day!!! Oh my goodness this has been the longest 5 week wait! My apt is at 11:15pst. I wish DH could come with but just not possible today. Such a bummer because yesterday his schedule was actually open...boo. We had a great day yesterday out of town, which kept me away from the Doppler! I feel good and very at peace that all is great with the baby.

Can't wait to share a pic!

It's going to be great I just know it! I think progesterone gives my body and baby that little support it needs!

I need to give the kids a bath (home from the beach with horrific traffic (3car accidents!) at 10:30 pm. Everyone is full of sand still! I still need to shower and I leave to take my kids to my sis in 1.5 hrs! Coming up quicker than I expected!

    we have baby with heartbeat!

The heart rate actually shocked me at 169bpm. If you look at e very bottom of this pic you can see it.

Okay, now for the interesting facts....

My new DD is December 5th!!! My baby is measuring a tiny behind at 8w0d. So I guess I got my bfp at 4dpo not 10dpo, impossible I know! I'm totally okay with baby needing more time to bake! This OB said that no cramping or spotting is great sign at this point.... It's encouraging for me too! She also said that progesterone is recommended until 10-14 weeks, it's up to me when I stop but suggested at least until week 12.

Yes! I ran into my normal MW who I normally see (dating u/s must be with an OB) and she said even 2 hours and baby moving into a different position could make the difference, but my official date with Kaiser will be December 5.

So exciting!! I updated your due date to 12/5. ;)

I stayed on Progesterone through the night of 13w/6d I did not take progesterone, like usual, after 14w ... was just this past Tuesday. I didn't get a progesterone level draw on week 13 because it had be really great and we were going to stop the progesterone the next week anyway.

How long have you stayed on it with your previous pregnancies?

12, 11, 11.... I started getting overly confident with Preston and used it 5x a week. I will not ever get that overly confident again! It's too much of a risk for me.
