Mel (39) DH (37) Finally, a baby boy after 12 months of TTC!

The lab tech told me 1 week, but the triage nurse told me 2. ;)
Thanks for all of your support ladies!
His name will be Gideon ... just not 100% sold on the middle name at the moment. If we're going to be traditional and honor people with it (we did that with DS1) then it will be Alan. But "Alan" is so normal for a girl named Dorcas ... though I think Gideon isn't terribly common.
My DH and I both have middle names that start with A. Mine is Ann and his is Allen, so we've continued that trend with the boys so the middle name must start with A. ;)
I love it! My sister was going to use Gideon if this baby has been a boy but they're expecting a girl.
Asimov! Gideon Asimov
Natalie DH 9/01, 1/06 NaturallyNatalie's Hair Accessories!
Gideon is so nice. Love it...
There are a couple of different genetic DNA tests out on the market now that allow for gender determination and genetic disorder testing via a blood sample from the mother. Harmony and MaterniT21 ... they can check for all of the trisomy disorders. The site for the Harmony test is: http://www.ariosadx.com/
Thanks for the info about the harmony test, never heard of that! Congrats on the baby boy!!
If you're 35 or older, I believe there's more insurance coverage than if you're not in the "Advanced Maternal Age" camp. My doctor said if it was going to be over $300 out of pocket they lab would call me to clear it. I never heard from anyone ... let us hope that was true!!!
Congrats and glad all healthy!!
I like Alan as middle name.
