    Default Lizzy/Elizabeth8503

I guess I will join the bandwagon with having my own update thread.
    A brief recap....
    07/09 met my DH
    06/11 married DH
    10/11 started TTC
10/12 discovered that DH had no sperm
06/13 DH diagnosed with CBAVD, but he did produce sperm
08/13-10/13 1st round of IVF, ended up BFN on 10/5/13
    12/13/13 started FET
    02/07/14 transferred 2 embryos
    02/17/14 BFP
    03/11/14 1st ultrasound, HB 126
    03/24/14 HB 180

Today was the 1st OB appt, all looked good, but I will have to do a glucose tolerance test in 3 weeks due to my high BMI and very strong family history of diabetes and heart issues.....
They attempted to do a doppler, but wasn't able to hear anything, so they did a hand help ultrasound, saw the heartbeat, but didn't get a reading as to how fast....
Hopefully I get to find out the gender on my birthday...June 6th

11 weeks today. Only one more week of my IVF meds: progesterone, estrogen, aspirin, and D3 will all be done next Sunday.
I am continuing to lose weight, but I really have only gotten sick like three times this week, which is a HUGE improvement for me.
My next appointment is April 21st....

WOW>...yesterday was horrible. I had a dream early in the morning that I was was bashing my sister's head into the concrete because she wouldn't stop talking.....Was sick in the morning....was sick all day at work... had a nasty headache..... barely was able to keep my meds down.... went to bed early....didn't get up til almost noon (which was like 12 hours in bed)...
Now I have all the windows open....the fans a going....the dogs are lounging... my laundry is going.....
Now to continue to keep this up so that I can get the house in some sort of order....get my homework done.....today would be perfect if my DH wasn't working.....

ONLY ONE MORE DAY OF MEDS!!!!!!

I had m/s until about 15 weeks, then it got better. And now after hitting third tri, I get occasional nausea again. Yay. Some ladies have m/s their whole pg, so just have to wait and see what's in store for you!

I hope that it at least eases up....but I won't gain much weight if the nausea continues....which would be a good thing....lol....the doc doesn't want me to gain much

Update on my last OB appointment:
all my labs from my previous time looks great. Baby's heartbeat was 160... so no worries there.

I had to do the one hour glucose intolerance test....and man did that stink. My levels came back too high for them....so I have to have a 3 hour intolerance test scheduled for later this week (it is a walk in...thinking about doing it Thursday).... Problem is that I could barely keep the 50gm of dextrose down in one hour....let alone 100gm for 3 hours. I spent the entire day throwing up....doc gave me a script for zofran, which I took as soon as I could.. but I was literally throwing up so bad I spent about 20 mins blowing my nose afterwards and was getting chunks of vomit coming out my nose....totally not fun.
And to top it off....yesterday was our first day at our new facility, therefore everything was hectic, no one knew what they were doing, and my supervisor was riding my arse, 1st for being late (my appointment ran late, and I had told them previously that I was going to be late), then for going to get food because I thought I was going to get sick....which did happen anyways, then for not being aware that I had a patient when it wasn't on my electronic schedule.... so yesterday was not fun.... hoping today goes much smoother

Sorry to hear that your glucose test went poorly, I hope the next one will not be so bad.

Oh no...that is awful. Would they let you monitor blood sugar at home in leu of the three hour. I would think if it made you that sick maybe they can provide an alternative. I did hear that jelly beans can be used if you can stomach them

I called the place where I am going to do the next test to see if I could take zofran....they told me no....but to call and ask my OB....which is closed for a staff meeting.....so this is gonna be fun.........not.

I may have missed this .. is there a particular reason why you're having to do the GD tests this early? I had GD with my last son and no one has mentioned, yet, anything about me having to take the GD tests early.

Nevermind! I see this was addressed in your OP. ;)

I failed the 1 hour with DS1 but passed the 3 hour with him. Failed both with DS2. Good luck!!

No matter what the outcome of Thursday's 3 hour intolerance test... I will be okay. I haven't really focused much on "eating healthy" lately, more focused on eating foods to that I am able to keep down. I know that having gestational diabetes is not the end of the world, and although I knew it was always a possibility with my weight and my very strong family history....I had hoped that I wouldn't have to go through it. I can barely keep anything down as is...and I have lost almost 15 pounds so far. The doc said she isn't gonna be too worried until after I am 16 weeks and that is when I should start gaining weight. I hope not to gain a lot, but as long as the baby ends up healthy, that is my main concern. I will keep ya guys updated.

The managed to get blood the first poke....but I wasn't even able to get through the entire bottle before I got sick, so they are gonna call the doctor and hope they have an idea. They did mention jelly beans....but I don't know that I am going to be able to do that any better. I am waiting for the OB to call back to give me an idea as to what to do from here.
