Default Ultrasound - not looking too good...

I had my ultrasound this morning. According to my dates (which could be off a day or two), I should be 6w6d. According to LMP they have me at 6w4d. There is a gestational sac measuring 5w2d and a yolk sac. I go back in two weeks. I know the dating of a gestational sac is not as accurate as the crl of a fetal pole but I'm not feeling very hopeful. I know babe implanted late (11-12dpo) so I'm hoping he or she is just trying to catch up. That hope is pretty small, though.

oh no I too hope in two weeks you'll have a good news as well! In a 5 week ultrasound do they expect to see a heartbeat and FP yet? I'm not very familiar with early ultrasounds....

Oh I'm so sorry..... All we can do is pray very hard that things change with Lo in 2 weeks. I remember in the past others with similar situations and everything turned out..... I truly hope it does for you.

Big hugs!!! With that late implantation things could easily be a week behind. Do you have an ultrasound planned again soon? Hang in there mama! FX and prayers

Jess, I'm hoping and praying that your little bean is just a little slow to start and will catch up by next appt. Big hugs momma.

My next u/s is April 7th. It is going to be a long two weeks. This bean definitely implanted late so at least there's that. We all know a day or two can make all the difference.

Jess, I had the exact same situation this time around and all was good at the next scan. First scan at 6w3d nothing but gestational sac and yolk sac - they basically said it was inconclusive but my betas kept rising... I held out hope because I didn't get a BFP until a day after AF was due so I knew I was looking at a late implant. Two weeks later all was well - tiny embryo with a heartbeat. The doctor said if we'd done the first scan even a day later, it could have looked completely different. Don't lose hope... I know it's hard. Hang in there.

Oh noooooooo you don't go getting all worried, late implant will Def not show all that needs to be seen on U/S this early. I went with my ember at what i thought would be 6 wk's 1 day they says nope 5 wk's 4 days um ok come back in 2 weeks. So I return at 7 wk's 4 days nope they changed it again and suddenly I was 8 wk's 1 day. All according to the u/s. At this point is so early to be really accurate this early on. You keep that chin up and stay positive. Grow baby grow

I'm sooo sorry your u/s wasn't more definitive...that is just so crazy nerve-wracking !!!!! My heart sure goes out to you...two weeks is such a long time to wait ...thinking of you !!!

I'll be 6wks 6d at my u/s on Friday. I'm 100% positive of my dates because of fert meds/trigger and I got a bfp at 11dpo (beta was 15) so no room for a late implanter either. I'll be accepting it as definitive, but if I really wasn't sure about dates I'd definitely feel more optimistic . Really praying it goes by quickly and you get good news !

There's still lots of room for hope! I think there's still a pretty fair chance that things will be good at the next appt. This has to be so hard to wait. Big hugs!

Try not to worry. According to my O date I was supposed to be 6+ weeks when I got my u/s I was measuring 5+2... and she was just a yoke sac. She caught up.

I think this early many women have had similar experiences. Try to stay positive, it is likely just a matter of time before you see some more definitive u/s results.

    Jess,
I know it's only been a week but I was wondering how you were doing?

Thanks ladies. I'm hanging in there. I'm still nauseated. Some days are worse than others. No spotting whatsoever which is different than all of my losses. I always spotted with them. I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Five more days until my ultrasound. I'm both anxious for it and dreading it.

Yes, no spotting is great at this point! I truly understand the yearn to have the u/s yet fear it at the same time. Counting down the 5 days with you. Hugs

My next u/s is April 7th too... We are super stressed! We went in yesterday for the first U/S and saw two little ones in there measuring at CRL of 4.1mm and 4.7mm (That dates them at 5.6 and 6 weeks, but the U/S has us at 6w5d). The heartbeats were both only at 90. He said they could have implanted a day or two late as well and taken an extra day or two to divide, but I'm on pins and needles. I hardly slept at all last night and am a basket case, especially since we had IVF so there's not really any wiggle room on when we conceived. I'm terrified and trying to find some way to make it til Monday. Hope all goes well for both of us and it was just early...

I don't see him until the 7th. No spotting or anything but I'm not as nauseated.
