Oh sheesh, lol, ya, that's definitely not worth it !

My allergies are year round, but with spring here they're kicking it up a notch . The flovent I've been taking for asthma helps with the rhinitis also which is fantastic since usually a decongestant is the only thing that alleviates the sinus pressure and obviously that's a no-go during pg. Right now it's my eyes that are really bugging me and I've almost used my rescue inhaler a couple times...wondering if this is going to be a bad year for allergies after such a hard winter

We had the NT scan/1st trimester screening today. Still waiting on the blood work results but both the u/s tech and the doctor said that Bean looked perfect. Bean is measuring right on target for 10/21 and the NT thing they were measuring looked completely normal. So yay for good news!

Oh, and I found out I have an anterior placenta. Surprising since I've already felt the flutters on a couple of occasions.

I had anterior placenta with D's #2.. Good thing is that I read that antirior olacents helps buffer some contraction pain and it did seem to help. Contractions were easier with D's #2.

for hearing baby !!! I cannot believe you're 15+ weeks already! Will you be scheduling your big u/s at your next appt?

Sometimes the most uneventful appointments are the best..... Especially hearing baby's heart beat

My anatomy scan is already scheduled for June 11th. My OB clinic refers out to a perinatal group for the NT scan and anatomy scan, so the May appointment is just a regular check up with them.

OB appt today went well except that my appt was at 1:45 and I thought it was at 3:30. Oops! Showed up with DS, so the OB was nice enough to see me even though I was super late. The appt was rushed, but I can't blame him since it was totally my fault (silly preggo brain).

Anyway, Bean's heartbeat sounded fine. I think they're slightly concerned about my weight but I don't feel like I'm gaining as much as their scales say (they use those old ones where the nurses slide the top). They also don't know my starting weight since I didn't get my first appt with them until 11 weeks and I have no clue what it was. A lot of my pre-PG clothes still fit and I've only just in the past few days had to break out some maternity stuff.

The bad news is that I have to do the GD test this week (boo) because of my GD history. Gonna try and hold off until next Saturday so I don't have to drag DS with me. Not looking forward to that...

I hope that all continues to look good for ya! I wish you luck with your glucose intolerance test! I am also glad that they were able to fit ya in!
I have no advice on the weight gain....hope that next time they aren't as worried!

I'm sorry that you had that appointment time mix up. I'm always worried I'm going to do that, too.

I am SOOO happy that my Dr's have NEVER said word 1 to me about my weight, in any of my pregnancies. With DS1 I gained 40lbs, DS2 20-25lbs (lost a lot after GD dx and food changes, so a little vague on the exact #), and so far with this one I've done my best to keep my weight in check and I've only gained 4lbs. My insurance nurse sounded concerned that I haven't gained a lot and I was like "well, I technically started out in the obese BMI range, so ... not really supposed to gain too much, right?!?"

Now, if only you could see my doctors! ;)

I'm sorry you have to do the GTT early. I was really surprised that wasn't the answer when I asked about it last appointment. I'm hopeful I can skip it entirely and just run with a dx of GD. I'm already monitoring and eating for it, so the only benefit here is if I can skip the **** test.

I'm really glad that your appointment went well and that your anatomy scan is in 2 weeks!! Are you going to find out the gender?

Oh sheesh, I've totally done that too...thought my appt was earlier or later than it was . I'm so glad they still squeezed you in ...I've always had to reschedule if I was late.

I'm sorry your dr is concerned about your weight gain. I think it sounds like you're doing well if you're just now breaking out maternity, that's awesome !!

Ugh, what a bummer you have to do an early GD test ! Praying for good numbers and a GD-free pg !!!!

I can't wait to hear an update about your anatomy scan...so excited for you !

Ugh. I forgot how awful that glucola stuff is. Stinks that I have to do this at least twice...
