I have to say, my FET (frozen embryo transfer) yesterday went so much smoother than my FET in November.
From the moment I walked in and my Dr. walked out to the waiting room to greet me, I suddenly felt calm! I literally sat down to start reading my book when they called me back to get ready vs. the one hour wait time last time. The nurse explained everything that I needed to do and my Dr. walked in and was beaming because both of my frozen embryos looked amazing!! He explained that he would insert the catheter and showed me on the monitor and then the embryologist would come in and check my bracelet to match on the embryos to make sure there were no mistakes.
Once we were all squared away, the embryologist brought the embryos in and my Dr. inserted them into the catheter and told me there would be a little blip on the monitor when they were firmly placed in my endometrial lining. I had to sit there like that for one minute while the embryologist went to check and make sure neither of the embryos got stuck in the catheter (something that can happen) and told us that we were all good! I then had to lay flat on my back for five minutes and wait. During that time, the embryologist came back in to give me pictures of both of my embryos (and both were hatching which is really great) and she told me that I had excellent embryos and she couldn't even tell that they had been frozen.
I felt so great and at ease when I left and have been laying in bed and taking it easy all day.
I will continue with my progesterone shots every night and estrogen shots every third night and I am at peace knowing that I have done everything I can and will remain optimistic that I have a little life (or two) growing in me right now.
Many prayers that we will all will move onto due date rooms so very soon!!
