Contractions are WAY more intense now. On the intensity scale they are 6-7 and mostly 7 out of 10. And I know that is good. However they are more spaced out now. Anywhere from 40 min down to 6. If feels like I am going through a 2nd labor. lol SO I don't really think it will happen tonight. But who knows they could pick up around 2 min the morning! I feel nice and relaxed. I have taken the midwives advice and just chilled out today. Actually they were getting more and more intense and picking up before my bath. I had some in the bath... but I also feel like it slowed labor down. I don't think I will do that next time until labor is established and I am at the hospital. It is just that my contractions were getting to the point where I needed some relief. I am going to be frustrated if DH has to miss another day of work tho. We really cannot afford it at all. :/

Contractions are picking up speed now. 7-9 minutes apart and about a 7 on the intensity scale. I hug a pillow, moan and try to relax to get though each one. Could it be soon maybe?

I still fear that these (dare I say it) painful, (*sigh*) contractions are not doing anything. Is that normal?

Ah lol I will have to check that out lol

Update: So no progress to report. Contractions stopped when I got so tired I just passed out. WTH! I guess I am still in prodromal... Bleep Bleep bleepidy bleep‬. While it is nice to have something happening it is frustrating and exhausting. I know things will happen soon because of how strong and regular contractions were last night. Anyway... not urgent... so DH went to work today. Meh meh meh meh meh

That was probably a good choice....you can always call him if things get super serious! Bummer though, I thought for sure you would go active last night

Dealing with prodromal labor still. And while my contractions have got the "quality" and strength they need now they are still not staying regular. They are consistently 40-30 min apart then 10 then 7 each for about an hour... and then start over. Weird... I know. I am hoping that sorts out today. FX Maybe the Ester bunny will bring me a baby? I ran out of the rrlt and got some just yesterday night. I am drinking the super strength stuff today. And I will be on my feet for about an hour doing some errands. hopefully that will kick things into gear.

Maybe there is some truth to the link between eating curry and going into labor after all... I found A list of teas to drink for natural labor induction. It warned always check with your doctor of midwife first. Of course they had black and blue cohosh and stuff like that. But to my surprise they also had cumin listed. Cumin is one of the main ingredients in most curry's. And is in a lot of dishes considered to be spicy! Coincidence? Well anyway it is supposed to help your uterus contract. So it says no more then 1 cup of this cumin tea a day. And you make it with one tblsp of ground cumin or cumin seed. You can make a tea bag out of a coffee filter and staples. I would think that this is relatively safe because I eat food with loads of cumin in it. And it is not on the list of no no foods. It is very bitter when made into a tea. SO beware. It is yucky. Just gulp it down if you try... or lightly sweeten with honey.

FX for me... I am just waiting for my tea to cool down.

I only have a slight twinge in my back. Otherwise nothing! NOTHING! Can you believe that? All of this action stronger and stronger contractions... all leading to NOTHING! I am really frustrated. I would rather have the contractions spread out to 40 min apart or even random contractions that I know are going to eventually get closer together and regular, then nothing. I know it is hard to just sit and wait never having contractions, but it is a different kind of frustration to have a taste and think you are getting somewhere only to stall out and go nowhere at all. I mean last night they were so strong I thought for sure we would be going in soon.

Did your DD change? I just browsed the April-May-June DD thread, curious to see who might be popping soon, and I noticed your name under April 26?

Nope I guess I just never changed it. That was my first dd after my first u/s. It was about a week off. Prety scary at the time measuring a week behind when I knew my exact O date.

    I think it was...

Update: Last night contractions started again. But I did not want to get my hopes up. They were pretty strong and semi regular. SO I made some more tea, did some nip stim and acupressure to see if I could get them more regular and more strong. They did get more regular. But I was afraid to try to go to sleep thinking they would go away if I did. I know true labor does not stop, but my thinking was to keep my contractions going for as long as possible and it will turn into real active labor at some point. They did not falter with any getting up or down... and I was thinking this may be it. SO I stayed up until about 3 in the morning when I could no long stay awake. They did get down to 5 min apart for a while and that is when I got really tired as they were really intense. But I found that if I relaxed muscles through them and repeated my words in my head they were much easier to handle. Relax, Open, slide. I still made some whimpery sounds tho. lol I found I was too tired and had to lay down and they were spacing back out anyway. I layed down and they continued. I woke up through some biggie contractions. And going to the bathroom was horrific. But I did get 5 hours of on and off sleep. I am feeling okay. Not really sure how far apart they are now. I am doing all my morning things. I drank all my tea yesterday. I might go across the street and get some more. FX I think we will have a baby today. I am pretty sure. I am not putting anything on my main facebook until we are headed into the hospital. But I am feeling good about it. Especially because they are so intense and I am 3 days over. This has to be it right? lol They are not as intense right now... but they are picking back up. I keep on asking why I can't just labor like a normal person. But honestly all the readyment things I did probably cause these bouts of uterine exercise. And I hear labor will be way easier and faster because of them. FX for that too. I will keep you all updated.
