Glad you had a good appt. My Dr. weighs me too more than my home scale, but I'm always wearing more clothes when I'm there and sometimes my shoes don't come off that easily. So I don't know why they don't take that into account.

Oh she told me to take off shoes. But even without shoes and with minimal clothes it was off. Always. I've been going there for over 5 years now and it seems once you are over a certain weight it starts {lying} lol

I don't own a scale at home but I know that the dr's scale is at least 3lb more than my Mom's home scale which I use sometimes.

23 weeks! And I have an anatomy 3D on 6th which I hope I won't forget about lol. I have to come in by 8 and "take a number". It doesn't take them here 1 hour, probably not even 30 minutes, rather like 15-20 minutes, to see the baby and everything. I am hoping they confirm the gender for me once again, so I will try to ask one of my student's mom whose mom is a tech at that hospital to have her come in a take a look and let me know.

On a bitter sweet note: dds moved to their own bedroom tonight. Which makes more space for me on the bed and no fear of being kicked in the belly by dd2. But the room sure looks empty without them! It took dh 45 min to rock dd2 to sleep - she was not very happy about falling asleep in that room (we thought about putting her to sleep in ours and carrying her to the other one but we don't really want to have a habit of doing that). She's been quite cranky past few days - seems like a canine is cutting through.

Also, dd1 woke up this morning with a pain in her knee cap. Which could be because she was sleeping in her small bed and it has low wooden rails and she has a habit of having her leg over while asleep. I thought she must have slept like that for a long time till her leg fell asleep and it resulted in overworking the tendon in that area. I don't see what else could have happened because she didn't fall nor pulled a tendon/muscle anywhere yesterday or day before. Hopefully she feels better by tomorrow especially having so much space to sleep. Since we rent, we have landlord's furniture (most houses are like that here) and there is a queen size bed in their bedroom which we can't remove and out separate or bunk beds for them. So for the time being they will be sharing their bed and when we move next year we will try to get an empty bedroom for them to put a bunk bed in. So they have lots of space atm to sleep on!

Hope your scan goes well--don't forget!!

Can you put a towel or blanket around the rail so that it's cushioned? I know I'll have sore spots if I lean too long on something hard, so it could be what's causing her pain this morning.

Natalie, I moved them so she won't sleep on that bed anymore. She is perfectly fine today so that must have been it!

Well the baby is doing well. He is measuring a week behind - at the hospital they estimated he is almost 23w+1 today based on last u/s measures and my due date but now he is 22w+4 days. I don't know if it means my due date will be pushed back or not. If it will be then better for me - I can schedule c/s right when mom arrives.
    Either way is OK.
As usually I wasn't given any monitor preview and they wouldn't confirm the gender once again. Meh.
The baby' weight is just over a pound (496+/- 72 gr).
Heard the heartbeat. And he has a cord around his neck.
I also got back my thyroid test. Before my t3 and t4 were fine and tsh was very low. Now tsh is fine t3 is fine but t4 is a bit low (minimum is 0.93 but mine is 0.78)

I can't imagine that this late in the game they would adjust your due date.

A friend hae to be induced as her daughter slowed in growth and then stopped growing. I'm wonderin if thats the case here. Neither of girls would measure behind like that. Guess boys are different!

I have real somersaults going on in the belly right now! Oh and the baby had umbilical cord around his neck which here they think is terrible but I think at 23 weeks it is nothing serious.

I love the somersault feeling! Hopefully the umbilical cord issue fixes itself.

Since I made my peace with due date being July 3rd, today is when I reach the viability point according to the dr's estimates. So, yay, 24 weeks!

Had first moment of pride as a bf consultant and also first sad moment: a friend I have been helping with bf and suggesting so many times the baby is tongue tied which was brushed off by other 2 more experienced consultants and a pedi, finally went elsewhere and yes, her son was tongue tied and had a snip. As happy as I was, she kinda gave me a speech of how I should have been more insistent about the issue. Which I wasn't so much cause she's seen so many different people who were far more experienced and some had medical degree and all assured her it was not. I of course told her I am sorry I wasn't there more physically for her (I couldn't see her a few times we scheduled for various reasons) but I just couldn't force her and didn't feel like doing it cause I have no medical expertise. Being a consultant is tough - you have to be so careful and wise. So if you say something it doesn't bounce right back at you. It still does btw. But this experience taught me to be a better advocate for when my mommy and professional gut tells me so!

Other than that I am not having a very happy 2nd trimester with all the colds we've been having with my girls. But at least I have rise of energy from time to time and can go stuff.
Closing on 25 weeks and this is the first time with a pregnancy I wish I was done soon - I never felt this way even at my worst pg moments. I guess having an ever changing 20 months old and being unwell has taken a toll on me.

Having two other children has definitely made me want this pregnancy over sooner. My youngest is a little over 3yrs so it has not been too bad and my DD is almost 6 and very responsible for her age. I can't imagine having a 20 mo old! It is hard enough with mine!

Hopefully you will start feeling better and have an increase in energy in the 3rd tri. I have good days and bad days still. It can be hard to not over do it with two other children running around. Hang in there!
