Had my OB appointment tonight... I am measuring 40wks now, doc says any day pretty much at this point! Found out the nurse that I asked about the kidney from the last ultrasound was wrong, the kidney did get bigger! So we are going to a specialist over an hour away to get a second look at the kidney on Monday. She is still worried about Pre-E although my tests came back normal, she wants me to do the urine again!! I'm not looking forward to that pain in the butt!!! Speaking of pain... my pelvis is agonizing, I stand up and pause and sometimes wanna just sit back down lol I'm so achy it hurts to get moving but once I actually start moving I feel okay but I'm waddling like a giant penguin! Then the stupid city my OB is in doesn't think shoveling the curb is a big deal so to get to our truck after dinner tonight I had to carefully walk up and over a 3ft snow bank.... stupid me stretched my leg out sideways and stepped in someone else's foot print, mine you I am wearing flats with socks that are soaked, and my left foot slipped down the snowbank and my DH grabbed my arm but it was too late and I plopped my butt in the snow!!! So then people are walking by, I can't get my center of gravity back to get up so I look like an idiot with this giant beach ball of a stomach and no muscles to help me stand. I seriously almost broke into tears!! Thankfully my hubby helped me get leverage and set me upright enough to stand up in this **** snowbank but then I am covered in snow, sand and salt. My purse was in the snowbank and filled with snow, and meanwhile people are still just walking by!! If looks could kill there would have been a massive killing in my city!! DH got worried though and wanted to go up to L&D but I said no, the landing was in fluffy snow and I was perfectly fine.
Anyways, we toured our hospital and the maternity suites, when we walked in we walked by the waiting room and saw a very anxious man pacing back and forth, he looked older, late 50s, assuming to be the new grandfather because when we got to the nurses station we got the nurse to give us a tour of the rooms and we walked by a hall and down the hall comes a huge machine and inside is a brand new baby boy!!!!! We got to stop and a beaming new father was walking with the machine and got to go to the nursery, on his way into the nursery room is a large button, he pushed it and over the loud speaker a soft lullaby played through the entire hospital!!! I bawled because then they took the baby and put him in the bassinet bin and he began to wail and got so red and pink!! He was letting himself be known that that song was for him!!! We got to stand and watch the happy new dad google over his new son, so precious! The rooms are so pleasant, look like a cross of a normal bedroom and hospital room, you can see how easy the room could become a hospital room but if things are right its a hotel type room.
Anyway, that's about it. I am very sore, partially my pelvis and hips from just being pregnant but also from my spill in the snow and from walking all over the place since 2pm and it's now 8pm. Oh and probably from DTD for the first time in a week... It's valentine's day and I felt great when I came home from work so we couldn't help it! Well that's my update.. oh and the doc is pushing for the second time about getting off work, I said no again but we are debating it, financially we can't do it but we may have no choice. I only have 6wks vaca time so it's all for maternity leave so if I leave early and need 8wks, that's 2wks unpaid... No idea what to do!
