A stat beta takes under an hour. Pester the crap out of them for results today.

I know all hospitals are different but mine never took longer then about a hour. Hopefully they get it back quick

Tif, I am actually a bit MORE concerned you with the pain subsiding.... if it WERE ectopic, that could mean it already ruptured, thus the pressure is relieved, but you would be bleeding internally.... of course it could be a cyst or something else, too, but in this case I would rule out ectopic first. I would DEMAND they see you today. who the hell cares what your beta number is.

ETA- I didn't mean you would be bleeding vaginally.... I meant bleeding internally. Also, on of my closest friends had an ectopic that did rupture and she was not bleeding vaginally.

I was thinking the same thing. You already know your beta won't be less than 5..,whether it's a 10 or 10,000, it's not going to tell you if it's eptopic or not. They probably should of ultrasound you right away.

This is how I feel too. You really need to be seen. The beta isn't going to tell them if you have an ectopic pregnancy or what the pain is.

I am so surprised that Keiser does not show flexibility in their protocol for pregnant, post tubal patients. That would scream liability to me if I were a Keiser doctor.

Still no beta results. Lab won't release them to me via phone but said I should see them before morning in my email. The dr is gone and after hour nurses won't release them-just tell me to go to ER or UC if I have cramping/pain. So. There I am.

I did buy a pack of store-brand digis and took one around 2pm. It was negative???

When I brought that up I was told "we have to rule out pregnancy first" which is why they wanted the urine dip but conceded to the beta. But it wasn't stat because as of now they "have no knowledge of pregnancy". ???

Digital tests are less sensitive than the regular dye ones.

I hope you can get some info soon!
