It sounds like this might be what they think it is http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/001397.htm

Acute cerebellar ataxia in children, especially those younger than age 3, may occur several weeks after an illness caused by a virus.
Cerebellar ataxia caused by a recent viral infection may not need treatment.
People whose condition was caused by a recent viral infection should make a full recovery without treatment in a few months.

Sorry to hear you are going through this. I have heard of something very similar. It happened to a friend's dd of one of our momma's in here. I believe it was Jessica Haydens mom that knew the little girl. She was paralyzed from an underlying virus, but she eventually did regain her walking again. Hopefully whatever it is, it will be an easy fix. I will see if I can track down the fb page that I followed that story on and share it with you.

Thank you for updating us. I know you have had a lot to take in in a short period of time. Praying the MRI will give them a diagnosis so she can start getting better. Take care of yourself too.

Might be worth the read if they can't figure things out and it gets worse.

Praying for you all. I imagine that this is a very scary time but as so glad that you have a place to stay so close. Sedation is way worse for the parents than the child.
