How is everyone doing?
My csection pain is getting more manageable. I stopped taking the Percocet and only take the high dose Motrin.
My legs and feet are still swollen. And my pregnancy carpal tunnel is back with a vengeance. Hard to put diapers on when I can't feel my fingers.
Breastfeeding is hit and miss. My poor nipples look like hell. I think I'll call a local lactation consultant tomorrow. At least my milk is all in. Holy moly leaking breasts. Every time Desmond cries, they are leaking like Niagara falls.
Desmond is doing well. He gained some of his weight back and has grown a half an inch. He is a pretty good baby. Sleeps well and when awake very alert. He just needs to get the latching down without killing mamas boobs. Lol
My update would be very similar to yours. I am getting around fine now, but still have those moments that I move wrong and have some bad pain from the c-s. I am going to try skipping the Percocet tonight and see how it goes.
Ryan has definitely improved with the nursing fom a couple days ago, but I still don't think the latch is quite right. I hear you about the painful nipples. Mine have been scabby and bleeding, and it hurts really bad for the first minute or so after he starts on each side. I think my milk is finally started to come in, but I haven't felt any obvious changes yet. Ryan had been loosing a little too much weight since birth, so we are supplementing with formula for a few days to try to get his weight back up. He had lost a full pound by the time we were discharged from the hospital (from 7 lbs 13 oz to 6 lbs 13 oz) and another couple ounces when we went to the pediatrician the next day.
Other than that, he has been a great baby and we are really enjoying our little miracle. The lack of sleep is hard, but we are dealing with it the best we can.
Here is another picture, just because he's so cute!

I'm doing great, but it's already been almost 8 weeks for me.
Keep Parker in your thoughts... He isn't gaining well and may have to go back to the NICU if we don't start seeing improvements. We have an appointment tomorrow to see how he is doing. He is still just above 6.5 pounds, only gained 3oz in 2 weeks.
I'm back to work Wednesday, I'm not really looking forward to it now that it is so close!
Breastfeeding is definitely a challenge. I can see why many women give up. It's hard. You think that something so natural would be easy. I had three LCs plus nurses helping me in the hospital. I bought a LL book on breastfeeding. And I still struggle. My left breast seems to be doing the best pain wise. Most of the blisters are gone and once he latches it feels like tugging instead of pinching. My right breast is still a total mess. Most of the time it hurts to feed him on that side. I use the semi reclined laid back position that I got from my book. Seems to work the best.
Today I went shopping for some nursing bras. Jut took off one of the bras and wham both sides started leaking. I soaked my flip flops. Lol good thing it missed the bra.
I hope Parker does not have to go back to the NICU. Sounds like he is gaining some weight, just at a slow pace. What does he normally eat?
Took Desmond on a walk to the grocery store today. He slept the entire time. Was good to get out of the house.
Glad to hear your getting out of the house! And that Desmond is doing so well!
Ill be thinking and praying for Parker!!! Hopefully the app went well!
