Oh sweet girl! Is there anything more pitiful than a baby in a hospital gown? Sounds like Justavirus. Frustrating to not know what it is, or how to treat it. One of my daughters used to get a very high fever whenever she was sick. She was hospitalized twice with an illnes that was just a high fever. Both times we heard a lot of mentions of Kawasaki's disease, I'm guessing you did too. But after days of fever and oodles of tests, the fever broke and all was well.

So glad she continues to improve. I can imagine how hard it has been seeing your precious little baby go through this! I literally said "Awwww" out loud when I saw her pic in the hosp gown. If only she knew that now would be a great time to ask for a pony or something awesome!

Stuck here for another day. Her labs are much better, but her CRP is still a bit elevated at 4.6 or so. Pedi is calling the infectious disease doctor to see what he thinks and she might be getting an x-ray to rule out radiographic pneumonia (I mentioned it to the pedi and she said she had thought of it this morning as well). Starting oral antibiotics today.

Yay! That's awesome. You must be so relieved.

Oops, sorry, I posted the above before I read the most recent post. Sorry you're stuck there for another day, but I hope they figure out what's going on.

Her IV infiltrated so we removed and she is so much happier now. It was causing her pain that even Motrin wouldn't relieve and her arm is hard and puffy now, but getting better. She had an x-ray this afternoon (waiting for results) and starts oral antibiotics tonight.
