Elective U/S?

Anyone getting an elective U/S done? I have my big u/s scheduled for April 4th. But I really wanted to do a big gender reveal deal at Easter since most of the family will already be together. Trying to talk DH into it but he is having none of it. Which I get his point of view, we would have to drive 4 hours to the closest place that has an elective u/s facility and have to pay. But really we need to hit up a costco soon anyway why not just do both?!? MEN! The next time most of the family will be together will be beginning of July.......I dont think I can wait that long

I understand your impatience, but I would not do the elective u/s. an 8 hour round trip plus the out of pocket expense is not justifiable to me. I would talk to my dr and ask if you can change the date of your scan and try to get it in before Easter, it's only about a week earlier than your current appointment.

If you can't get it done before Easter, then wait till July or tell everyone in another way. You could get cute cards made with the u/s pic and mail them out to everyone if you can't do it all at one time in person. Just some suggestions, good luck!

I wouldn't do it either, but I totally understand you wanting to find out. Learning the gender--for those who choose to--is a big deal! I like the picture card idea if you can't get your gender results by Easter!
