    Default 36+5 - Feeling Great

    Hi Ladies -

How is everyone? Our room is pretty quiet so I figured I'd give an update....

I'm 36+5 today and I feel great ! Dr asked if I was ready to be done being pregnant ... surprisingly, I feel better than I have my entire pregnancy. Is that weird? Yes, rolling in bed and attempting to put on socks can be a challenge but I feel I'm doing really good! After I got put on Nexium for my acid reflux and still take Zantac once a day, I'm good ! It is simply amazing how I feel now that my acid is under control. I just wish I was put on this way sooner so I wasn't so darn miserable throughout this pregnancy....

Dr. said baby is head down but not all the way engaged - I've been super thankful this pregnancy as I haven't had much "rib pain" that everyone seems to talk about OR the bladder pressure/pain. Apparently my baby likes to hang out in the middle. If I overdo it, then I may find myself getting a backache. Hardly any BH either..... I'm worried about having a big baby as I was 8 lbs, 4 oz and the hubby was close to 10 lbs. But, the belly measurement yesterday was 37 ... so I'm not measuring big at all (which makes me a bit nervous but Dr isn't worried).

Just my luck I'll probably jinx myself now...

My due date is March 16 and I'm suppose to be in a wedding on that day as a bridesmaid so I'm going to get my dress altered this weekend - I had to buy 4 sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy and while the length/belly fit great, WAY too big on top! I'm still in my pre-pregnancy bras ...

How are all the other March Mamas hanging in there?

I'm 36 weeks as of today. I feel like crap - mostly because I don't sleep well. My hips and my ankles and feet are killing me at this point.

My doctor said that Desmond's head is down and that I'm 1cm dialated. He is guessing Desmond is about 6lbs. I'm hoping that he only puts on another pound if that is the case. I want him to be healthy, but I also don't want a difficult birth due to his size. I get my final ultrasound next Tuesday. So I guess I will have a better idea then about how big and long he is. I'm thinking he is kinda long. Because I can feel him kick under my right rib almost on my back. His dad is sorta tall at 6'. So maybe he has his daddy's long legs.

I've got some of my hospital bag packed. It's really hard to pack everything until the last minute. I did make a bag for work, just incase my waterbreaks and I need to change my clothes. Think I have everything I need for when the baby comes home. I guess I will find out.

I'm getting excited about Desmond's arrival, but I'm also a nervous wreck. My husband is doing much better than I am about this. Though I think he is just better at hiding his nervousness.

I go in tomorrow for the GSB test and he is going to do a cervical check and see if we have anything, my first dd is 3/5 and my second is 3/15 so I will see. He told me he will not do another VE until I'm 40 weeks. I'm feeling ok, but am having alot of prodromal labor in the evening which SUPER sucks! Two weeks ago I was measuring at 33 weeks so I've consistently been behind on measurements but I had also lost three pounds in those two weeks.

-- I SECOND this! I'm really nervous as this is my first baby and I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to infants! My husband is MUCH more laid back about it - maybe because he doesn't have to go through labor? Haha. He sort of keeps me calm when I start to freak out ....

I have the stuff for my hospital bag - just need to get some of the new clothes washed this weekend and then get it packed. I just want it ready ... one less thing to worry about.

On a fun side note, the stroller/car seat combo came - it is put together and sitting in our living room! So, at least I know we can take baby home now that we have the car seat... haha.

We need to get the bases installed in our cars this weekend. We are only 5 minutes from the hospital, so my husband isn't really in a rush to get the seats in there.

I packed my hospital bag and installed the car seat like 2 hours after my water broke! Lol. You ladies are rockin. FYI if you packed extra clothes in case your water breaks I would also suggest big overnight pads. My water broke and it took 4 towels to clean it up and it just poured. I wore one to the hospital and sat on towels. There is a ton of water in there.
