    Default Lower back ache

Are any of you experiencing period like lower back cramps/aches? I had a m/c 1.5 years ago and it worries me.

It can be normal at this stage. I've had it to varying degrees with all my pregnancies. I've never had a miscarriage but my understanding is that there is typically bleeding associated with pain and even that doesn't always mean everything. Try to take it easy. Worry is hard on your body and can only make things worse. Think sticky thoughts! When is your first appointment? How far along are you?

I am 4w5d and I'm going to try to not make an appointment til 8 weeks. I'm a full time grad student in pharmacy college and full time employee lol. God has a funny sense of humor for "now" to be the time after five very hard core years of trying haha, but I'll take it!!

I had period like cramping around the time that AF was supposed to start. That has kind of gone away now. Really the only symptoms I'm having yet (knock on wood) are sore boobs and REALLY hungry. Oh and I'm super scatter-brained.

Thanks, Dreya. It's subsided quite a bit now, but it still comes and goes. Enough to keep me on edge lol

From somebody who's BTDT twice - there is really never an "okay" point until the very end. At first you're counting down to week 12 when the risk of miscarriage goes way down, then you're counting down to week 24 when the baby is the age of viability, then you're counting down to week 36 when the baby is considered to be full term. It's better to not stress it if you can.

Early pregnancy symptoms and AF symptoms can be very similar, from everything I've read lower back ache is normal.

I have this too. It's totally normal UNLESS the pain is unbearable or you are bleeding, and just because you are bleeding doesn't mean you aren't ok, but you should def. be seen RIGHT AWAY just in case. Try drinking more water, that helps me...cold water and if it's bothersome, take some Tylenol and a warm shower!!!!!

I have definitely found that drinking lots of water has been good for this! No spotting....I pray that stays away. Too, that's how I knew I was m/c last time so I'm super panicky lol

Glad to hear the water is helping. Definitely not fun to feel all the little twinges that you feel early on. I felt crampy early on with all of my pregnancies. I even had spotting with this one, and everything is still going strong and I haven't seen signs of pink or blood in over 2 weeks.
