It was down and I was having withdrawal! No baby for me yet...
I'm in a funk the last few days. DH's 6 yr old cousin died on Monday (flu that ended up staph infection)and we had the funeral today. Talk about depressing...I can't stop thinking about her and her poor parents. They have an 18 month old too. I am so sad for them.
Oh my, how sad. I can't even begin to imagine! That poor family.
We need updates on all the pregnant momma's!!
Man that's too sad. We all have the flu over here despite flu shots!

No pregnancy updates here. Just still trucking along, now a ripe 38 weeks and 2 days.
My 5 year old came down with Flu B yesterday, it hit so hard and fast that I thought he had meningitis. His head and neck pain is so severe that he can't even have his favorite cartoons on. Poor baby.
Linzo: That is so upsetting about your husband's cousin. What a tragedy, to lose a life so new. My heart breaks for her family. Were there any warning signs? How fast did she decline? This flu strain has me more worried than any other illness we've had in our home. I've never taken a child to the doc for a cold or flu, but yesterday my little boy was breathing so shallow and rapidly that I broke every traffic law to get him to my husband's hospital in record time. This is one scary bug.

DH's cousin's mom is a nurse and she kept bringing her back to Dr because it didn't seem like just the flu. They insisted it was and kept sending them home. I guess her feet and legs started to hurt her and by the time they got to the hospital the infection had spread. I think it was a matter of a week
or 2- not sure on that.
