    Default Weight gain

I know it's early still for us, but have you started to gain weight already? Do any of you plan to be careful not to gain too much? I gained exactly 50lbs with each of my kids, and I would like to gain less than that this time around!

How do you plan to watch your food intake to control weight gain if you plan to worry about it?

I should add that it's not going to be too easy seeing as though all I feel like eating is bread.

I am going to try not to gain too much weight. I already have plenty that I was in the process of trying to lose. I am trying to make healthy choices and eat salads as often as possible.

I've been trying to keep fruits and veggies washed and preped so they are just as easy to eat as chips or other snack. But I do have a sweet tooth and found the perfect "healthy" mini cake receipe!

1/2 cup cake mix (any boxed flavor)
    2/3 cup water
    1 tbsp. oil

Mix well and microwave for 1 minute. I even added a tbsp of peanut butter into the mix before I cooked it. I'm sure it would be yummy with fresh fruit as well! Enjoy!

Yep. I've gained 6lbs since Jan 9. Lol. I don't worry about it. I did this last time & only gained 25 lbs. We shall see if this time is different!

I've been indulging in the gluten, myself!

Ugh, weight gain. I gained ~60lbs last time! I am on a mission to not gain that much again. I will definitely be more conscious about what I am eating and also keep up my gym regimen. Luckily I've been able to maintain going to the gym 3 days a week so I'm keeping my fingers cross I will continue.

With my first I gained about 50 pounds and with my second I gained 22! I definitely plan on watching my weight this time too. I felt so much better only gaining 22. I have lost three pounds so far this pregnancy, but only because I am eating so much healthier and drinking tons of water!

I went from eating out a lot to planning all my meals, packing my lunch and tons of water!!!

Ok - well, lets keep each other accountable! I am going to try so super hard to eat a salad tomorrow! The weird thing for me, is I was eating salad at at least one meal a day before I got pregnant, and generally eat very healthy, but I just feel so gross, and nauseous, and NOTHING good for me sounds good at all. I am hoping this all passes quickly.

I had DH buy me store bought potato bread for grilled cheese yesterday - I haven't bought store bread for almost 5 years!!!! I have been making my own whole wheat, and when I wanted grilled cheese so badly, I set out to make a loaf, and my bread maker died on me! AH!!! So, I tried to save it and make by hand...but I was so sick, and kneading for 10 minutes wasn't happening...long story endless, I had my grilled cheese on bread from the store (and it was DELICIOUS)!

I get sick of salads too! One thing that I found filling and good are the thin pockets! I fill them with lettuce, tomato, avacado, chicken and fat free ranch dressing. I have been packing them in my lunch and it is a good change from a salad! We should all share some recipes or ideas.

I have to watch this time. I gained 72lbs with my daughter and never lost it. I cannot afford to gain too much! So far, I'm up about 4lbs.

I think I'm going to start worrying about second trimester. At the moment eating things I can keep down and keeping my energy levels up is important. I found losing weight after my last preg was a pain, but I did it so I know I can do it again.

Ali, DH, Søren (4/2011) and a little one due in September.
