    Default 2ww N.E.T for Feb testers :)

Hi ladies! Thought I'd start a thread for those of us in the 2ww that will be testing in Feb

    So who's obsessing already ?

I have one odd-ball "symptom" that's encouraging...spit ...for whatever reason I have a lot of saliva during ovulation and through my first tri of pg. It must have something to do with rising hormone levels but it started the same day my ewcm did and has been consistent since then. Usually, it goes away right after o but it's sticking around...lol, I'm taking it as a good sign

Nothing other than that. My progesterone was a doozie last night...burns a bit...always does the first few times.

Anyone doing anything particular to keep busy? I have *no* plans and the weather is blah so I'm going to have to think of something or this is going to be a reeeeeally long 2ww

    How are you ladies doing?

Omg I'm going absolutely crazy!! My progesterone has given me massive dry mouth!! So I'm drinking a TON and therefore peeing every other minute!

I keep looking at my chart as if its somehow going to tell me I'm pregnant

    I hate the ttw.

LOL, I keep thinking it can't possibly *still* be Tuesday !!

    Your chart looks good!

Do you work outside the home? Any hobbies?

I'm a sahm and I home school so I'm pretty busy throughout the day but once school is done the late afternoons/evenings kind of drag by (especially since it's dark by 5:30). Dh is gone tonight with my older boys at their basketball game and my oldest three girls will be leaving after dinner to go to volleyball. The littler ones will be in bed by 7pm so I think Adam and I are going to curl up on the couch together and watch old re-runs

Great idea Kelly!! I'm so excited about this cycle. BD dates are good and I know I O'd on the day FF says I did because I felt it! Ahhh I really hope this cycle we all get BFPs!

I'm a sahm since I got laid off almost a year ago...such a blessing in disguise! I don't think I have any hobbies haha....I sit here with dd playing all day long. I've been trying to find nearby play groups but I can't find any...I've looked on meetup.com.

I'm pretty confidant that I'll be pregnant this time. The last 2 times we've DTD on O day I have gotten pregnant. The 2nd time didn't stick though bc I stopped the progesterone. If this one sticks with the progesterone then I'll know that I MC before due to low progesterone.

The last time we DTD on O day I got pregnant too. That was only once though, obviously

I'm finally at 10dpo, but I had a BFN this morning on a dollar store cheapie. I have had some symptoms that I haven't had past cycles but I don't want to get my hopes up again! I spotted on 7dpo and went back to creamy cm since then. And I have been having very mild cramping the past couple of days, especially today, but I could just be having a wonky cycle... so I was trying to keep quiet

    Good luck ladies!

Does anyone else have names picked out or maybe names you're thinking about? It's weird to even think that I have almost settled on a name since it took us forever to get DD's name! And even after pretty much deciding on her name we still weren't 100% set on it.

For a boy there is only one name I like and DH only likes one name. But I refuse to go with the name he picked out. DH has "come to terms" with using the name I like since there aren't any other names he likes. I'm not set on a middle name though. For a girl, oh man girls are HARD to name lol. He doesn't like any names and I'm so darn picky...if we get another girl then Her name very well could be "baby#2" I'm so indecisive.

Karen...that is so exciting! I love it when I know I nailed it !!

Dune...that's a bummer about not being able to find playgroups! We lived in a very rural area for most of the last 17yrs and it was pretty much just me and my LOs all day, every day until the cousins started arriving (we were the first on both sides to start having kids). Now we live in a bigger town with lots of opportunities but I don't have the time, ha! I don't have any hobbies either but have attempted am lot of things crocheting, sewing, knitting, scrapbooking, etc...but just couldn't get into it, wasn't my thing . I love running but don't get the chance much during the school year.

Haha, dh and I have been talking about names lately...we never agree so every name has been a compromise for both of us...it always works out but it's not dh's favorite topic ! We actually have the hardest time with boy names...girl names are easy for us. I'm sure it'll take a good 9months for us to settle on something

Karen, I can't keep bows in dd's hair either!

Melturtleluv...wow 10dpo...so excited for you! Really really praying you get a bfp Your chart looks great How are you hanging in there...hope the wait hasn't been too overwhelming. I'm glad you popped in to let us know...sometimes going it alone is easier and other times having support helps kup!

I had a great night with my LOs but I still can't believe this day isn't over yet ...here's to hoping the rest of the week goes by a bit faster

    Lots and lots of

I'm struggling through this tww too! Right there with y'all! I'm really trying to stay positive and remind myself that God will give us a baby when He feels the time is right...but easier said than done!! I guess part of the problem is the "symptoms." My belly looks really round. But that could just as easliy be PMS as a baby. And I have been having almost constant...hmmmm, pinching? Not cramping, just sensations in the lower abdomen. But since PMS and early preg symptoms are so similar I don't want to get my hopes up. But it leaves me feeling frustrated! Last night Kayla told me that she spoke with God and that in three days I would have a baby in my belly. Which is funny because that's when I planned on starting testing. Wouldn't that be funny if she was right?!?!?! LOL

I guess a good thing is that I've been keeping busy, but to the point where I'm overwhelmed. I work from home full time, which is great, but I've had so many conference calls that I am having a hard time getting ACTUAL work done, plus the kids, housework, after school activities, etc. Grrrr! But this too shall pass and all will become manageable again soon. I am in a Moms group that I love, and I am going to have to cancel our playdate tomorrow, which is the third in a row I have to bail on. I really don't like to have to do that, I feel like a jerk! Ty gets surgery on Friday am, we are going out with a couple we are friends with Sat night to see a comedian, then Sun Kayla has a cheer competition a few hours away. So that is the rest of our week!!! The weather has been great, 70s and 80s, so we've been enjoying it before it is time to start melting again!

We have the same issues with names as a few of you mentioned. I love Arabella for a girl but hubs says it's too snooty. I think it's old-fashioned and lovely! No thoughts on a boy. Hubs prob won't come up with suggestions for a name, just yay or nay whatever I come up with. But we'll see how it goes.

I hope you all have a great week!

For you gals who have kids already, what is there age gap? Is 3 years apart a good gap? I want 2.5 years apart but that's not gonna happen and I'm still very angry about it.

My oldest and middle are 27 months apart, and the middle and youngest are about 21 months apart. My oldest turned four last year May 1, and later that month I gave birth again for the third time in four years I will tell you that the end of the third pregnancy was realy hard on my body. The three were too close together. However here I am with a 19 mo old trying to get preg again!! Twice now I have brought home a newborn to a two year old and that was not really fun. Having a four year old and a newborn is fantastic. I am finding four and five to be the golden years, so easy. Kayla is extremely helpful, sweet and really watches out for her bro and sis. If I was patient enough, I'd wait til Ty is three to start trying again, but I am impatient!!

Oh wow momma...what a busy week ahead of you ! What does Ty need surgery for...(((big hugs)))! What kind of work-from-home do you do? I've been debating about joining a mops group...I think I'd really enjoy it but I have a hard time committing to things for myself.

I love the name Arabella...dh nixed it here too . We have Evangeline picked for a girl and are tossing around Reuben for a boy (dh likes bible names...kind of limiting and very common but good names).

Eta...I like Thaddeus or Silas and dh likes Timothy, lol, so Reuben will be our compromise if we go with it since we both like it but it's not our favorite Evangeline was actually not a compromise, we both like it but he did compromise on the middle name Juniper...it *is* in the bible as a reference to a Juniper bush ...I've come up with names like Cedar and Orion that way too which I really like but dh doesn't. They're in the running for middle names . I've even looked things up in the Greek and Hebrew to try to find unique names he might go for...no success so far but I'm always hopeful ! For now, the middle name we're considering for Reuben is Timothy...we shall see!

Anyone planning vacays this winter/spring? No plans here but my kids are chomping at the bit to go to Tulsa, OK to visit my dad and his wife (they have a several hundred acre ranch). I have to admit I am too...my dad and his wife are SO fun! I don't see it happening though until next year...we are still trying to sell our house up north (we moved almost a year ago). It'll be paid off this summer and we have someone interested in land contract so after that we're hoping to plan a big trip. I'm hoping to take a smaller vacay this summer though...there are cabins at a campground within view of the Mackinaw Bridge we loved...hoping to go again

I'm loving reading your 2WW posts. You ladies rock.

I'm alllllmost ready to join you in 2WW. The OPK was def. darker this morning, but not quite positive. DH got back from a work trip last night. We dtd then, and will try to hit every day until the day or two after O. Hope to join you soon -- sometime in the next 2-5 days, I'm guessing.

Kelly-he is just getting a minor surgery-his tubes need to be replaced and adenoids out. The kid is ALWAYS sick. In 19 mos he has had a good 15 ear infections, pneumonia, brochitis, RSV, Scarlet fever, hand/foot/mouth TWICE. It never stops. So the ENT thinks getting the adenoids out will help all that bc of the way his eustacian tubes lay and the ademoids being a bacteria harborer. We will see tho! I forgot hubs actually got us tix to some motorcross race on Fri night, but IDK if Ty will feel up to it. Plus, he will actually be able to hear again (he has bad blockage over his ear drums and he hears like he is underwater, we're concerned about speech development :/)! So that might all be too loud for him right after he can hear normally again.

I like the names you are tossing around! So hard to pick!

We are getting ready to book a trip to Disney in April w my mom and sis. I am trying to justify the expense an five days I'll take off in my head by telling myself memories last a lifetime. I should be saving my $ and time off for maternity leave. But whatever, it will all be fine!

I belong to MOMS Club, which has chapters all over. I found it on Meetup. It's a great group, I really like the other Moms and it gives Ty friends since he is not yet in school. Good times! I do marketing for a financial services company. I love working from home and I love my job so I am lucky And I guess I better get back to it. Ihave been taking too many breaks this am!

I hope somehow not having my kids 2.5 years apart is somehow a blessing in disguise. But I'm already planning on a 3rd ASAP to get my summer baby maybe it would be easier to just change one child's bday to July

Kelly I like the names you have!! I can't think of any boys middle names that I like.....or girls middle names. I like one syllable middle names but none go with the names I like. I'm starting to throw around Payton for a girl. I like Jo as a middle name, after my mom but DH doesn't like it.

We have no vacation plans, ever. With me not working money is TIGHT!

Ugh, is it time to POAS yet geez!!!

Another bfn this morning and some very light pink tinged creamy cm. I'm pretty sure I'm out this month ladies. I feel like my age is getting to me (I'm 38 and dh is 36) and I just don't think it's going to happen for us. I've decided to stop charting once af comes, it's too much of a disappointment!! But I'm rooting for all of you to get your BFP's in February!!!!

My kids are anywhere from 15months to 4yrs apart. I liked the 3yr gap the best. 4yrs was the hardest for me but my 4yr old was high need and I was coming off a string of m/c so it may have just been my circumstances at the time rather than the age gap .

Kemommy, my almost three year old was like that until this year...got everything that went around but worse than everyone else She finally turned a corner the fall at some point and doesn't get sick very often anymore How nice it'll be for Tyler to be able to hear well again...poor pumpkin! Praying for no lasting effects and normal speech development!!

for Disney! How fun!! We are saving up and hoping for a 2015 trip ! My family has a time-share condo on Daytona Beach (they live in Orlando).

That's fantastic you can work from home and enjoy what you do!!

Dune, I sure hope you get you summer baby the next go (((big hugs)))!

I hear you about money being tight...we didn't take family vacations until the last few years . I knew it would happen someday...just had to wait for it.

Sara ...so glad you joined us! Hoping o comes soon!! Sounds like a good plan! !!!

Was just looking at your chart and still hoping for a bfp for you this cycle .

Are you considering seeing a specialist? I know they usually say after a year of trying but we aren't spring chickens ...wondering if that would make a difference ?

So I'm new...what does 2ww mean? I'm guessing two week wait..as in before we can POAS. Your lingo has a learning curve!

I feel like I obsess so much, I had to make mantras for myself:
I will not freak out about feeling overwhelmed.
I will not worry about every little abdominal twinge.
I will not get my hopes up too much.

Yikes, where's the positive in those?! LOL

Thanks Kelly and Dunegirl! I totally agree about not being a spring chicken I saw an RE after 3 months of trying and had bloodwork and ultrsounds performed which all came out great. DH had a SA as well and passed with flying colors. I have a new obgyn that is reviewing an ultrasound I had in early December that showed a*possible* uterine polyp. I'll be seeing him at the end of February to decide what to do next. He did say that if I do have a ployp it shouldn't cause fertility issues because it's only 11mm, but he wants to rule it out with a hsg if I don't get preggers by the time I see him next. He told me stress is my biggest, and most likely, my only issue keeping me from getting my BFP. He said to stop charting and GO ON VACATION. Ha!

Welcome Geneari! I hope your stay is short here. And thank you for posting your mantras, I needed that!

Melturtleluv-I hope you get your BFP soon too!

Kelly-my five year old had a lot of illness from about 16 months to 3 and then she all of a sudden grew out of it just like your LO. I actually figure Ty might do the same. However, the ENT is concerned about his speech development bc of all the stuff sitting in front of his eardrum (he's failed hearing tests in the past) and that stuff needs to come out no matter what. Since these procedures are pretty non-invasive and you don't need the adenoids anyway, we're just going forward with these steps. We're hoping for the best!!

Oh, and a lovely new hormonally induced emotion...irritation and a short fuse with my little peeps (my 5yr olds) ! I let it show a couple of times and raised my voice more than I needed to today . Going to tie some strings and make amends before they go to bed...they love card games and books so that's my agenda for tonight (along with an apology for being so grouchy)

And my ovary area is achy...a good sign!

I would definitely feel the same way. And better sooner rather than later...it's not worth the risk when you're weighing it out between a minor surgery or possibly years of speech therapy! Praying it goes perfectly
