We haven't, but I think we will talk about telling family soon, since we have now had our first U/S and seen/heard heartbeat.

YES! We tell pretty much right away. I figure it anything were to happen, I would want all of our loved ones to know so they could support us if need be!

How exciting for you, be sure to post responces and reactions!

I did the same, and I agree with you as well. I wouldnt want to shut them out if God forbid something bad were to happen.

I told my parents but DH hasn't told his. He believes that if something happens then it is our business and no one else. He was away when I went through a m/c last Jan so he doesn't understand the need for support if something bad was to happen again. My family is pretty religious so I also wanted them to know so that there would be just a few more prayers going up that everything is ok this time around. I also have told 1 friend (by accident) but she thinks it's cool since we are only a few months apart in our pregnancies.

I just told my mom last week because I couldn't stand it anymore. It was kind of weird though because she just said "I had a feeling you were pregnant". She didn't really seem that excited which was a little disappointing. I guess by the third child it's just not as exciting. Of course we're excited and I know she will be too, just not surprised I guess.

We haven't made it "public" but have told our families and some friends. We will probably announce it soon since we have a baby w a heartbeat .

We told our families, friends, and a few co-workers. No official facebook announcement and I want to wait to tell everyone else until I hit the 2nd trimester.

We haven't told anyone! It would be killing me except that I have you gals to talk to. My mom was just diagnosed with Parkinson's 2 weeks ago. It's a mild case but of course she's bummed, so I thought about telling her and my dad to cheer them up (this is their first grandchild and they are dying for one) but I don't want either of them to have to deal with disappointment. So I want to wait to tell them at least until I hear a heartbeat (I have my first doc appointment this monday (feb 4)). Since it's my first bfp I'm being very cautious. We probably won't tell most people until we pass 10-11 weeks.
