    Default wow...

So I had my rescheduled first prenatal appt on Friday. First, it was really neat that my ob was super excited to see me there for a prenatal. We tried for 18 months to conceive last time (my 3 y/o) and she had me on a few rounds of clomid to help things along. (This time we were npp...just got lucky surprise!). So she my history, and told me that when she saw the reason for my appointment she was very happy to see me (she knew we we've been npp). So cool to have support!

Anyway, I not only heard the heartbeat, but the u/s was so cool. I don't remember any of my other u/s showing a pic that actually looked like a baby (more like a blob!) at this stage, but this time it totally did. And the little gal/guy was really wiggling around in there. I melted. Now this pregnancy finally feels for real. I need to put up a ticker finally!! I think we'll start telling everyone this week, after we tell our parents. I really wanted to have my dr appt before telling anyone (except here ).

Have you all told anyone yet? Just family? Friends too? Waiting for the 1st trimester to be over?

Sounds like an awesome appointment!! We have told everyone. My rule is as soon as I see the heartbeat during the first ultrasound we go public with it !

Ah so exciting that you got to hear the heartbeat and see your lil bean! How far along are you?

We pretty much told everyone at Christmas but my dad. I didn't want to tell him until after my first appointment. The day I heard the heartbeat though and knew that everything was okay I told him that night.

Congrats on seeing your wiggly bean!!!!

We wait till the 1st u/s to tell family, which has always been at 6 weeks. Then we wait till 12 weeks to go public. I just put it on Facebook on Saturday. I had told a few other close friends during the week because my grandmother died and we had 3 roses in the casket from her great grandchildren-which are our 3 kids. Plus my mom took the liberty of telling all her friends that I was expecting while she was at a Christmas party, so I had countless people coming up to me at the funeral home to say congratulations which I then had to explain to whichever friend was standing next to me at the time and didn't know. So it didn't exactly go as planned for us!

I am glad your appointment went so great!! It is always nice to see them in there healthy & wiggling around. Pretty much everyone knows in our life. We waited to tell our family until the 1st appointment. I had an u/s that day because I wasn't measuring right so I felt comfortable. We told our close friends after that & pretty much everyone knows now.

Glad you had an awesome appointment! Pretty much everyone knows here as well. We told at Christmas. We did not really have a choice. Had quite a few wine nights and margarita nights planned on both sides of the family and they would have known right away had I not been drinking. I love wine and margarita nights

    sounds like a great appointment!

we've told family, a couple close friends & coworkers (but only because i had to with my line of work). I'm not sure if I'm waiting for the 13 week mark or until I hear the heartbeat again (which will be a little over 14 weeks).
