    Default Chronic Insomnia--who's with me?

I do NOT have this problem when I am not pregnant and I only had this problem at the end of my 1st three pregnancies and throughout all of the 3rd tri with my last.

Basically I will have 1 great night of sleep and then 6 really bad which involve not being able to fall asleep, waking up at 2 or 3 and being up for the night and the issue is that I get up at 5:30 and start my day as I work full time.

I am getting a lot of headaches and I think it's because I am just tired...i have no idea what to do and I have 3 other kids at home so I don't really want to take tylenol PM...

    I am simply exhausted...

Me! I am so exhausted but cant sleep so I am going to be making a visit to our local pool to wear my self out at night and to wear DS out. Hopefully it works. Other wise back to calling my doc to see what I can take.

I could have written your post to a T. Only difference is I have to get up at 4:30. I also have 3 other children and I hate taking anything because it makes it sooo hard to wake up in the morning . I have also been suffering headaches constantly. I'd rather sleep than eat or anything else for that matter

I'm not having a problem sleeping, but I've also never ever had a problem sleeping. Sleep us the only thing I don't have a problem with lol.
Unfortunately I'm taking a class on Tuesday nights that ends at 10 pm (I'm usually passed out by then) and I have a massive headache today. So lack of sleep is affecting me but not for the same reasons.

It's tricky isn't it. I am sleeping like a log at the moment, but usually I am a chronic insomniac. I know you must be busy with 3 kids, but maybe 10 mins of yoga before bed? It's horrible because all sorts of thoughts enter your head while you are trying to get to sleep. Hope it gets better soon xx

I have one day a week that I can't sleep. Most of the time I'm out before my head hits the pillow. DH has been sleeping in the spare room because he snores and doesn't want up disturb me.

Try some down time before laying down. Meditate, read, something to settle down.

My DH keeps waking me up! I would sleep much better if he didn't keep getting up in the night and waking me! Grrrr

I've been having trouble sleeping well. I've always taken a long time to go from lying down to falling asleep, but I've got bizarre dreams and a hyper bladder, both of which wake me up often. I bought a Snoogle this weekend and that seems to help with the need to keep shifting my position, so that disturbance is almost non-existent now. Then I add in the two cats that sleep directly on top of me, generate a lot of lovely warmth, and purr once the sun comes up, so between my poor sleep and their drowziness-inducing superpowers, I end up sleeping fitfully until 10 or 11 am. But I'm exhausted again by 9 pm. I would say the biggest impact on this for me is how do I eat all the necessary servings in 10 hours? I feel like I'm stuffing my face constantly trying to just make sure I'm making up for the 13 or 14 hours I'm unconcious. Which leaves very little time for housework and then I feel really guilty when hubby comes home from his 14 hour work day and I seem to have done nothing but sat on the couch and eaten. Not that he's been critical, he's as worried about my 10 pound weight loss as I am.
