    Default Next appointment today

I'll be getting my step B test today as well as a cervical check. I'm really hoping for some progress but I think there will be nothing at this point. However ever since I woke up today I have had CRAZY round ligament pain! Sometimes I have to bend over when I'm walking just to dull the pain! I must have slept funny or stretched too much when I got up.
I keep seeing all the beautiful pictures of the February babies that are already here and I want to meet my little peanut Just wanted to give a shout out to our mommies from February who have their babies already! Great job mamas!!

I'll update after my appointment so you all know how it went. Until then I'm off to drink my weight in water(I have started to swell a bit) and lay on the couch

    Good luck!

The wait at the end is always the hardest!

I've been 3cm for a week now and ever since I've found that out, all contractions have stopped. It's cruel!!!

Ozzy~ 3 cm! You must be going crazy! If I got that news I would keep expecting to go into labor at any minute. I hope it happens soon for you

Good luck. I'm currently the most pregnant I have ever been. I'm feeling pretty rough today. Lots of cramping....pelvic pain and some intermittent BH contractions. I need baby to bake so I'm sitting on the couch with my swollen feet up too!

Hey ladies! Sorry I didn't update last night we had some family come visit.
So I'm dilated to 1cm lol But no other progress. BP is great, I have only gained 3 pounds since my last appointment, and I got to make my last 3 doc appointments before this baby comes My doc asked me today if I wanted to get my membrane stripped at my 38 week appointment. I'm going to have to read up on it but has anyone ever had that done?

I actually had my membranes stripped today. I think it can be a way to stir things up to get your cervix to soften. I had it done twice with Liam though, and it did nothing for me.

stripping membranes just sounds awfully painful to me right now lol. I wish I was offered some kind of hope to deliver this baby before 40 weeks.

Hey, next week will be February already!

It actually didn't hurt at all when my OB did it!

I wouldn't recommend the stripping of the membranes. For me it was horribly painful and it did nothing to help things along. (and that was on my 3rd baby!)

I do recommend swinging on a swing, seriously. Swing hard for a few minutes and then after you get off the swing go into warrior pose (very open legged side squat) hold it as long as feels comfortable. My sis did this and her water broke about an hour later. Also, tons of fresh pineapple. Sex, and not the gentle kind.... That's a tall order when you are a bagillion months pregnant, but a little hard doggy style goes a long way. (Yeah, gross and graphic but let's get these babies OUT!) And of course, walk walk walk. Be one of those weird fanny pack walkers at the mall if you have to, but walk that baby out.

I've never had my membranes stripped but it worked really well for my SIL. Fresh pineapple and EPO seemed to work for me along with a cervical check.

LOL! Yes sex is ok for us right now though(even though I feel like a cow) I can swing with my kids today at the playground so I may just try this.

Thanks ladies for all your words of encouragement! I decided against the membrane stripping. At least until I'm 40 weeks then I will revisit the idea.
