    Cool Having a moment...

    I'm sitting here watching our oldest baby read. She just turned 5. I'm so proud of her. And when I try to cheer her on, she gently tells me, "Mom, I got this."

    That's my girl

    So awesome! Congrats to your dd for her accomplishment, and to you for your encouragement to her!

    My 6 y/o started reading chapter books before Christmas, and I thought I was going to cry when she finished her first one. She was so proud; I was so proud. It's a great feeling.

    Josh is reading too and it's so cool. Of course now you can't spell certain things to keep secrets from them and you have to be careful what they see. LOL

    And I hear you on the spelling! Someone mentioned "Should we go to the B-E-A-C-H?" over winter break, and my DD said 'YEAH, we need to go to the beach right now!'"
