    Default Nosebleeds anyone?

Anyone else get nosebleeds during pregnancy? I did when I was pregnant with my DD but only after I would throw up. I've had two so far with this pregnancy but it wasn't from throwing up(only done that once so far). Is it normal? I see the doctor on the 24th but was just concerned. Especially since last pregnancy it didn't start until the end of the 2nd trimester.

Popping in from May DD...I got several nose bleeds with this pregnancy in my first trimester....Haven't had any in awhile...but I did get them a lot early on. Definitely ask your dr. But its most likely normal. Good Luck.

So glad you posted! Was wondering about this. On my first BFP. I never have nose bleeds. But today I blew my nose and I must have burst several blood vessels. No nausea for over 6 days so not related to throwing up. My understanding is that the increasing blood supply during pregnancy puts more pressure on your blood vessels. This in turn makes nose bleeds more likely. Ask your doctor of course, but I'd be surprised if you have anything to worry about (aside from an annoying nose bleed).

Nosebleeds are pretty common in pregnancy since there is an increase in blood supply. I don't get nosebleeds, I think I've only had 1 or 2 in my whole 30 yrs of life But I know my gums bleed a good bit when I brush and floss. With all the extra blood in our bodies, there is bound to be extra pressure put on the vessels. The extra pressure from throwing up or blowing your nose can cause those vessels to rupture. Definitely let your doc know about it, but as long as there is not a massive amount of blood loss and it doesn't last very long, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Not that it matters, but some info I found related to giving blood and depending on how much is lost, it can take 4 to 6 weeks for red blood cells to replenish, and that is in a non pregnant person. I am sure we replenish faster.

Popping in from July due date. I got nosebleeds with DD and now with pregnancy #2. Only ones I've ever had and is how I "knew" before I tested this second time around. Both stopped during the first trimester for me.
