    Default June DD NET

Ok ladies, we've talked about this, but I'll go ahead and start one.

It's Tuesday, my 3 YO has soccer this afternoon so she's bouncing off walls waiting for time to get dressed. Little man is napping, so yay for some quiet time. Had a decent OB visit this morning. They are slightly concerned about some cramping but right now we're just doing the wait and see thing, along with extra rest and limited activity.

Been thinking about buying squishy newborn diapers and looking at all the cute options. Our diapers from the first 2 are pretty worn out so a new stash is in the works. I'll probably break down and make some, as well as buy some. Anyone else planning on cloth diapering? I also ordered a new silk blend woven wrap that I'm pretty excited about. It's on it's way from Germany so hopefully it'll arrive soon. That's about all that's going on here today.

    Anyone else wanna share?

We are doing cloth again and this time from the beginning. I need to buy some newborn diapers and get some of our others repaired. I'm so excited for cute fluffy butt!

I got my maternity pillow last week. I love it! It takes up exactly 1/2 the bed and I snuggle down in it and sleep really well! I hope you enjoy yours too!

I've never been a big fan of the huge maternity pillows. I know people love them though. I like lots of regular pillows and the mini wedge shape one for under my belly.

Our nursery walls are mint green because we chose the paint BEFORE I got pregnant. If it's a boy, I am thinking frogs and such but for a girl, I dont know yet.

#1) I wore my Boppy pg pillow out so badly before and after DS that I had to throw it out a while ago. I realized this week that I'm going to need a new one - soon! Sleeping has become disrupted especially this week, keep waking up trying to get comfortable.

#2) I have a friend who cloth diapered, but am so ignorant about it. If any of you can give me some advice why you chose it and how it all works (I've done some research, and know there are a million different versions/options.) I would gladly take it!!!!!!

#3) DS is going back to swim lessons @ the YMCA tomorrow. (Took the last session off bc m/s was so bad I couldn't physically manage taking him. Now that 2nd tri awesomeness is in effect - I'm ready to rock and roll!) There is an adult Water Fit class at the same time. My OB recommended I get myself into one during pg to keep exercise up and so I'm going to go while DS has his class. My mom might join too. Kind of excited, even though I know it's a bunch of old ladies flailing around in there...hee hee.

#4) How do they start off DS with soccer? (How do they introduce it? Do they run drills? Just play? I know nothing!) There is a huge soccer program literally across the street from us, and I'd love DS to try it out this summer. He'll be 3.5yrs old.

PS: Thanks for starting our NET!!!!!!!!!

My daughter is 3 1/2 and this first session she's doing is indoor since our weather is still pretty rainy. They are doing basic drills, learning to use the inside of the foot, not the toe, dribbling and passing and will start playing mini games next week. It's super cute and gets out a ton of energy. She's absolutely loving it. The next session is spring soccer and that will start with practices and move into games as well.

There used to be a ton of cloth diaper threads on the CD forum here. I haven't been in there for ages, but I'd bet some of the good ones are still stuck to the top. There are tons of options, and it really depends on what your reasons are for using them. You can save a ton of money using basic flats/prefolds and covers. Pockets are a good inbetween, people love them. I'm not a pocket girl. I prefer fitteds at home because they breath, and AIOs when we are out and about. AIO (all in ones) are the most like a disposable diaper in how they are put on. They make great babysitter and daddy use diapers because they are super easy. They do take a little longer to dry, which is one down side. My main reasons for using them were to reduce the chemicals used on delicate baby skin, and the waste our family produces. I am super skin sensitive and I didn't want to risk it with my LOs. It's not to say I've never used a disposable diaper, I certainly understand their convenience. Am happy to talk with you about it anytime or answer any questions you might have.

I miss our YMCA membership. It was just so expensive and between the membership and the gas to get there (30 miles each way) it just wasn't worth it.

We have lots of ladies with ultrasounds today, don't we?

I am SOOOO Happy for you!!! I happy all went well!!!! (I am now crying... Talk about emotional.)

I am SOOO Nervious about my U/S today. I couldn't sleep last night. I look so small when I look in the mirror and I am worried something is wrong.

I am relieved to know everything went well with your apt!

    Congrats Momma!

So I am gaining but I can still fit into my small jeans (not at comfortable) but choose to wear my next size up (4) that are falling off my but lol.

So is this normal? At 18 weeks did you have a bump? Thanks everyone.

This is your first, right? It's totally normal. Don't stress it. Baby takes what baby needs and leaves the rest for you. In a few more weeks you'll have a cute little baby bump. Don't worry yourself over it. Then when you have baby #2, you'll start to show faster, and by baby #3 you will look pregnant by the time you even start thinking about it. lol!

I wasn't stressing until I was looking at other bump pictures of first times moms and thought what am I doing wrong Im pretty sure lo's fine because he/she is moving a lot during the day (amazing feeling I might add) and I am gaining some weight (eating a lot). Thanks for the information I appreciate it.

    Have a great day ladies!

I think it's really normal to stress over every little detail, especially with your first. Your body is doing this amazing thing, but everything feels different and you have no idea what's normal. Add to that all the cute perfect pregnancy pictures you see (most of us don't really look like that!) and it's hard not to stress. Just remember that all pregnancies are different, but for the most part, your body knows what to do. Feed it well, drink lots of water, and you'll be fine.

I just want to do cloth diapers because it will save us money in the long run and after doing research diaper rash it significantly lower with cloths over disposables...i dunno its just a lifestyle choice really. We ordered a lot of covers and inserts so im thinking of getting some all in ones too for when grandma is helping...
Also do you know how hard it is to find maternity swimsuits in the winter in WA?! OMG and if you go online they are so darn expensive! i did find a bottom at walmart on clearance but now i need to find a tankini top! Cant wait to start swimming again though i have been craving it!!

I lost some weight last summer (17 lbs!) so my old swimsuit was/is loose enough to accommodate my belly so far. I will definitely need to find something once I get further along though!

Can't wait to get our new bedroom set. We've been using a 13 yr old queen set that I bought just after college... and I'm 5'8 and DH is 6'4. We bought a King sized bedroom set (with matching furniture which we DON'T have right now). DS2 will get my dressers as they're still in good shape and will go into the toddler bed over the next couple of months... and we'll move the nursery set into the "not to be so spare room" at that time.

We ordered it online from Costco, and they say 6-8 weeks delivery time.... its been one week *sighs*

I cannot wait to get a preg pillow. Im waiting to I really need it. So far just been using an extra pillow between the legs once in a while. I'm thinking its going to be soon though I can feel the pain in my back from the strain when I lay on my side sometimes.

Has anyone started putting the nursery together yet? We are moving to Florida a month and half before the baby's born. It's going to be insane I know but I can't really buy or prepare much until we're already there! Nesting instinct will be in full force then! Lol

I am excited to paint our daughters room! Right now it is a light tan, and I am going to paint one wall a dusty pink and then stensil a girly pattern on the wall in Ivry.

We just got done redoing our master bath, now we are going to do the other. Then it's on to the baby's room.
