    kinda quiet in here lately....
Had to check my blood sugar this morning
Not really feeling the whole needle thing :/ Silly me didnt check the setting and stuck myself with a 5 instead of a 2 or 3 But my levels were at 80 mg/dl so i looked it up and thats on target.

How is everyone feeling? How are the nurseries and baby shopping coming along ?

Yeah -- I've done that a time or two "OMG why did that hurt so much... oh wait, its set to 4"...

Things here are good -- baby is a busy kicking, punching, squirming machine... love feeling that. Have my usual appts. at high risk on Tuesday with an ultrasound, can't wait to see how the little man is growing!!!

Think DH is finally getting some of the baby clothes back today -- which I'll be glad to start sorting through and see what's in there, what's missing and what I'll need to buy!!

Not much new going on here either. Our whole family has spent the last week sick so we're hopefully on the upswing. No shopping here, we wont set up a nursery until baby is older since we co-sleep. Need to pull out some newborn clothes from when the first 2 were born so we at least have a little bit of that when we're ready. Not really planning on doing much until baby is here and we know the gender.

Still trying desperately to figure out names with no luck.

We finally figured out a name and DH has decided it is a secret. Silly man! Baby girl is having an echo done on Thursday and I had mine last Friday. We finally have paint and carpet in the nursery and DH is assembling furniture. Theme to come soon I hope. We got a good look at her face last week and she doesn't have a cleft-lip. I was happy to see given her high-risk. Clothes are being bought and washed. So busy since ob said she is coming early most likely.

Why does your ob think LO is coming early???Things here are ok. I'm not getting anything out/ready for another month or so...trying to get all of our winter/spring/summer clothes organized first before we add stuff for a 4th family member!

we are having her early because of my heart conditions so they dont want to risk pre-eclampsia. I am fine with it really because my aorta is at risk to rupture. We finally have the nursery 100% ready. We went with Disney Fairies because we had the paint and carpet before I got pregnant and they curtains matched perfectly. Hubby ran with it and did such an awesome job!

We will be getting the car seat/stroller and bassinet and pack n play out and set up in a few weeks so that our pets get used to it all and know to stay out of her things.

Gotcha. I'm so happy to hear you are getting such great care and they are keeping both of you safe. And exciting to know you will have a little princess in your arms by Memorial Day!

I have a history of ecclampsia in the women of my family, and had preeclampsia with DS. So I don't have heart problems per se, but I am empathizing with the other part of it. In fact, our girl name is Amelia Christine after my great-grandmother and grandmother. My great-grandmother Amelia passed away during a pregnancy in the 1930's from eclampsia, when my Gram was just a couple years old. So the names have significance in that sense.

Have you been exercising at all? Are you allowed to? (I'm SO sorry if that sounds ignorant. Please know my tone is genuinely curious!)

We used a dye/perfume-free HE Tide and it worked just as well as Dreft. Dreft smells nice though...but we tried to be as chemical-free/organic as possible with DS - WITHOUT breaking the bank!!!!

I have been walking and thats pretty much it. I have had some chest pains and shortness of breath if I do too much. We have been doing a lot of cleaning too. I take lots of breaks. I dont know if I have a family history of pre-eclampsia. Its just crazy when I think of it all. I am having her in a nearby bigger city in case of a heart issue during delivery. Our L&D here is at a different hospital as the cardios. This other hospital is attached to Devos Childrens Hospital in case she needs special care. We will both be safer there! Between my regular and high-risk obs, I am always running somewhere! lol
