First time prego!!!

We are super excited! I just don't know whether or not I am 7 or 10 wks. I feel that I am further along. My appointment is not till 1/21... waiting drives a person nutty. My symptoms showed up really early which led me to believe I had underestimated how far a long I am. I had a faint positive test in November then some bleeding-which I mistook for a period (hopefully). It would be soooo awesome if I were further along. My nausea has been incredible and makes working in a hospital very difficult. I have been looking up photos online trying to compare my belly to others... I just have to wait I guess. Any info? I'll take it

Congrats and wecome! If you aren't sure of your dates your doc will probably send you for an ultrasound to date the pregnancy. So you will probably get to see baby soon! As far as I know that would be the only accurate way of measuring how far along you are right now. Waiting sucks, but that is staple of pregnancy, there is a lot of waiting involved, haha. If you just can't stand the wait you could see if there is a way to get an independent u/s. during my first pregnancy my best friend was going to school to be sonographer, I went in to her class several times so they could all practice on me. It was nice to get extra looks at my little guy! FYI- I wouldn't necessarily rely on any dates that a student tells you, I'm just saying that is how I was able to get extra (free) peeks at baby!

I hope the nausea lets up for you...until your appt, suck on peppermints. They're good for nausea. I'm sure you can find lots of other advice on MS on here or other sites. just be sure to tell your doctor if you're having trouble holding down clear liquids.
At this point, like everyone said, the only thing to do, if you're not sure of your last period, is to wait until your appt for a date. Right now belly pics will mostly only be bloating. We don't really start to pop until after 12 weeks and later, especially if its your first!

Congrats & Welcome. I was in the same boat, wacky cycles & didn't know for sure how far along I was. My doctor did an u/s on my first visit to date so I was able to see my baby happy & healthy Good luck to you!!

Dating u/s around 6 weeks are pretty common. Honestly I have had them for all of my pregnancies, all 5 of them even the good and bad ones. Once you explain the confusion to your dates in the office they will probably bring you in right away and do an u/s.

My appt is Monday as well. It was supposed to be yesterday but I was stuck in the hospital they should def be doing a Sono and lots of Bloodwork if I remember right. Oh and a fun pap. ;)
