    Default Childbirth classes

Well DH survived class last night. We have another this morning. Poor thing looked so bored. Hopefully today will focus more on relaxation techniques and less on vaginas. Lol

How could any man not be excited about vaginas?! Hahaha! Can you let me know how he felt about it when you are done? I never took one last time and still felt like the guidance I got from my nurses was enough. James is very stressed out about birth though. When we were in L&D with the contractions before New Years he was all ashen, clammy and sick to his stomach. Even talking about birth and labor he gets freaked. I think they might be helpful for him, but of course I will have to say its for me.

This is my first child...and I'm winging it. So, I hope I get helpful nurses because I'll be clueless.

I thought about going to the classes... then decided against it. (no particular reason)

I guess we'll see in about 9 weeks if skipping the class was a mistake. Haha

He liked learning about all the comfort techniques. He feels more confident now. Plus I think he realizes how long and intense labor can be. He feels more prepared.

The class I took was through our hospital. Just two sessions. You could probably still take one. I found it helpful. I feel like there are less unknowns and that DH and I are now on the same page. I didn't realize there were so many types of positions and means to bring comfort. Plus learning the different types of breathing was nice. I feel like I have more choices.
