    Default maternity clothes bargain

It's so quiet in here! Just thought I'd try to liven it up with a bit of chatter.

I hit up one of our local thrift stores today looking for maternity clothes. Found 1 pair capris, a dress-type shirt, and a basic t-shirt. Total spend: $7.50. Don't forget to check resale stores when shopping for this stuff! Much of the new items seem so overpriced when you think about how long we'll be wearing them!

I agree! It is quiet in here & maternity clotes are expensive. I didn't need too much since my last baby was just 2 years ago and was also summer. But I did need a new swimsuit and a couple of pairs of capris. I got my swimsuit on clearance at JCPenny for $10 this winter. I was soooo excited
I also like the longer non-maternity tank tops. They are great during & after pregnancy. You can usually pick them up at Target or Old Navy for $5.

Thx for the reminder about Old Navy tanks...I need some new ones for summer and you are right...the long tanks are perfect for hiding big belies.

I have some spring/summer stuff since I was pg with DD2 about the same time as now, but since then I've passed my maternity clothes around to a couple of friends and I believe some of the tops, at least, have shrunk. (No really, I'm about the same size now as I was then...they really *did* shrink!)

I have heard old navy is great! Another place to check out is Ross! They usually have a small maternity selection for cheap, I bought a pair of pants and tank for about $18 the other day.
