ME - What I do - Sr. QA Analyst at Newell Rubbermaid
DH - What he does - High School English Teacher
    DS1 - Elliot
    DS2 - Simon
Fur baby - I'm one of those pet owners that stopped caring when they had kids. I know, I know!
    BFP Date: 1/29/13
How did you tell SO? He woke up and I showed him the test.
Due - 10/10/13 - Repeat c/s will probably happen in September, but I'm going to be active on both September and October boards.
    First Doctor Appointment: 2/13/13
Do you want to know the sex - Yes, I can't wait that long to find out.
Does DH want to know the sex - Yes
    Gender Guess: Boy/Girl Twins
Have you told anyone yet? If so, who? If not, when? Yes, friends and family. Keeping it to a small group of work friends b/c I didn't have a good experience with work knowing early on with my last pregnancy.
Symptom list: Sensitive nipples, nursing my 21 mo old is painful at the start, fatigue, slowing bowels, some hints of nausea and super smell.
Any names picked out? Gideon and Vivien
What's your TTC Story? We started trying in December but missed the boat. We caught the wave in January. I had bleeding on 1/27 and 1/28 so I thought I had started my period and was pretty bummed, but when the bleeding stopped on 1/29 I thought "maybe I should take a test just in case" and lo and behold, it said "pregnant!"
Anything else you'd like to add? Because of that early bleeding my HCG and Progesterone levels (I have PCOS) have been followed closely and when they were sure my HCG was over 2k they wanted to do an u/s. So I went in on 2/13 for the u/s and got the news that there are TWO gestational sacs!! I was roughly 5w6d for the u/s so we didn't see the heartbeats. Follow up u/s at 8 weeks on 2/27. Looking to get comfortable that everything is okay so that I can finally relax into this TWIN pregnancy! ;)

ME -Katie 28 What I do - Nurse
DH -Beneil 33 What he does - Medical Claims
Fur baby - Awesome- cat (but thinks he's a dog)
    BFP Date: Jan 10th
How did you tell SO? This pregnancy was well planned, we knew when to take the test and both looked at it as it turned positive.
    Due -Sept 17th
    First Doctor Appointment: Feb. 13th
Do you want to know the sex - Absolutely
Does DH want to know the sex - More than I do.
Gender Guess: Boy, just because they are so prevalent in my husbands family. And my mother thinks it's a girl and is buying out stores, so it must be a boy.
Have you told anyone yet? If so, who? If not, when? Great story, my mother has wanted a grand-baby for a long time. She kept saying how fortunate she would be to have a grand-baby. So I ordered a giant fortune cookie covered in chocolate and sprinkled with hearts for valentines day for her. When she opened it she found out I was prego and started crying. Everyone else gets a card in the mail with 3 pairs of shoes on them. One white baby pair and one in pink for me and one in blue for my husband with the saying 'We made you something, but it won't be ready till Sept.' Hopefully they will get the hint.
    Symptom list: Breast pain
Any names picked out? boy- Elijah with an ongoing debate of the middle name. girl-Ella Elizabeth after my mother-in-law
What's your TTC Story? My husband and I thought we were getting kinda old if we wanted to have 4 or more kids, so we might as well start now. So I mapped out my ovulation cycle over a year. Started taking prenatal vitamins in Oct. and went off of birth control in November. I knew I would ovulate on Christmas day. I thought it might take us one to three months to conceive and the first try we did.

ME – Medical coding and billing (work from home)
    DH - Implementation Delivery Specialist
    DS - 13
Fur baby(s) - Golden Retriever (8 year old) and we adopted/rescued last September a cat (5 months)
    BFP Date - January 16th
How did you tell SO? I was getting some labs done, among them a blood pregnancy test. I didn’t expect a BFP due to SO many pervious BFNs. I had to look at it about 3 times to be sure. I just couldn't wait so I took a pic and texted it to DH.
    Due Date – September 23, 2013
    First Doctor Appointment: January 18th
Do you want to know the sex – if the bean lets us see, we want to know… DS didn’t let us see till near the 26th week, he always had his hands tucked in between his legs. I would like to know so I can get the room decorated on time.
Does DH want to know the sex – “SAME A ME”
Gender Guess: I have a hunch that it could be a Girl… For DS I referred to “him” since the begging of my pregnancy. Still haven’t done that with this pregnancy.
Have you told anyone yet? If so, who? If not, when? We told DS @ 6 weeks (he was worried I was sick due to the DRs appointments, he's old enough to notice) and a few close family members and my 3 close friends (still tip-toeing around the announcement, due to my previous losses).
Symptom list: fatigue, tender breast, on and off again light cramping, mourning sickness started last week.
Any names picked out? No, have a few that I like. Waiting to see if it's a boy or girl.
What’s your TTC Story? In total a little over 10 years in TTC again after DS (gave up 2 years ago).
Anything else you'd like to add? It took me more than a week to really sink in that I am pregnant and things are progressing. I am just frightened at every sonogram I go because in a previous pregnancy at about 10-11 weeks a few years ago there was no heartbeat when they did a sonogram and I miscarried a few days later. But I am more confident as the week’s progress… I saw baby’s heartbeat at 7 weeks, heard it at 9 weeks and baby is growing.

    Due - Sept 19tj
    First Doctor Appointment: February 7th
Do you want to know the sex - not sure
Does DH want to know the sex - Yes
Gender Guess: I guess I'm selfishly hoping for another girl because all the clothes, etc from DD can be reused
Have you told anyone yet? If so, who? If not, when? Only a few close friends. Lost a pregnancy at 16 weeks this August, so we are being somewhat cautious this time around
Symptom - exhaustion, some nausea, some spotting, but much more relaxed this time around
Any names picked out? We have tossed a few names around inject, but haven't had "the discussion" yet.
What's your TTC Story? It took 3 years to conceive our DD. After a devastating miscarriage this summer, this pregnancy is incredibly welcomed, yet totally unexpected.
Anything else you'd like to add?

So, follow up for me ... 2/27 u/s showed ONE healthy baby and they dated us at 7w1d, which is about 5 days off my estimate. Due to that, it looks like I'll actually end up being an October mommy ... but I still plan to hang out with you guys, too!

I'm a little confused by all the abbreviations but I'll try to keep up.
    ME-I'm a geneticist
    DH- engineer
No other kids or pets (this is our first!)
    BFP - 01/17/13
How did you tell SO? - I got him a book "Dude, you are going to be a dad" and put it with the positive pregnancy test under his pjs. When he got home from work, he ran upstairs to change and found it
    Due - sept 19
First doctor appointment? - Feb 6
Do you want to know the sex? - Can't wait!
Does DH want to know the sex? - YES
Gender guess - my sister is already calling "her" names. I actually think it will be a boy
Have you told anyone yet? Yes, I'm terrible keeping secrets ;) told our parents and sisters the day we found out and then our closest friends a couple of weeks later. We are just waiting for the first trimester screen this week to tell everybody
Symptoms - weeks 6-10 really tired and sleepy. Weeks 8-10 food aversions and nausea but no vomiting, really sensitive to smells... After week 8 my heart rate went up and I was no longer able to keep my running pace (I'm training for a half marathon)
Any names picked out? - not yet. I'm Hispanic and my husband is American (Irish / Italian) so we want a name that sounds similar in English and Spanish
What's your TTC story? I stopped birth control in August but was training for a marathon over the summer, so running 40-50 miles/week until October. After the race I decided to slow down in case I wasn't ovulating (running too much and not enough fat in my body). Immediately cramping and breast soreness appeared with my periods so I knew I was ovulating again, 2 months later I was pregnant! We did it the old fashioned way, lots of unprotected sex and not worrying about dates / ovulation.
