How did you tell SO? Well I wanted to do something cute but couldn't wait. I was getting off work and figured I better test before the festivities that night. I tested at work and the lines came up right away. I instantly text him a picture of the test.

Gender Guess: I have a strong intuition that it is a boy. We will see if I am right

Have you told anyone yet? Yes, I am a horrible secret keeper. I told DH that I didn't want to tell anyone until we had seen a doctor but I couldn't hold out.

Do you want to know the sex: Of course

Gender Guess: No idea. Sex was day after O, so I guess it depends on if the Shettles Method really works.

Have you told anyone yet? Just our moms. We won't make it public until after the first trimester bc of my history of loss.

Symptom list: Cramping off and on since Tuesday. I start progesterone tonight, so more symptoms will arrive shortly.

Any names picked out? Nope. We'll probably figure it out about week 39. Lol

What's your TTC Story? Well, this is an oops, but I'm thrilled. We spent a year TTC DS and had two losses along the way. I never thought this could happen to me, so I'm really excited. I'm cautiously optimistic and praying for a sticky bean. I will actually be able to breathe once I see the heartbeat. So excited to be here .

How did you tell SO? I took a test Christmas morning and I thought I saw a faint line but he said I was imagining it (I wasn't ;) I took three ept tests on the 26th that also were faint. So that night he brought home a digital and with my morning pee on the 27th it came back "yes +" so I woke him up to show him the test and we were both too excited to go back to sleep (it was 5 am) haha

First Doctor Appointment: Feb 4th


Do you want to know the sex: Yes, but we are going to do a gender reveal party and won't find out until then!


Does DH want to know the sex: Yes!! He wants a boy


Gender Guess: I have no idea. This pregnancy is similar and yet different than my first. Not sure if that means boy???


Have you told anyone yet? Yes. We had this great plan to wait until we heard the heartbeat but we didn't last a full 24 hours before we told just about everyone lol


Symptom list: Fatigue, sore boobs, dry mouth, increased discharge, slight cramping/stretching, stuffy nose, and of course pregnancy brain!


Any names picked out? For a boy: Jaxon Edwin and Adalyn Grace (we have had these names for over a year so they aren't changing!) haha


What's your TTC Story? I hated taking the pill and we decided to just not refill it for Dec. I had my LMP on Nov 30th. We read that it can take 1-2 years for women near age 35 to conceive. We think I conceived on Dec 13th... Two weeks after I get off the pill and we decide to not necessarily TTC but not prevent.

How did you tell SO? We were supposed to be starting a frozen embryo transfer cycle, and I was getting really frustrated that AF was late. I told DH I was gonna POAS so I could squash any false hope, and maybe AF would show up. The look on my face when I brought him the test was all he needed!

Due-September 6th (my estimate anyway)

First Doctor Appointment: Have had bloods, doing an U/S on the 15th.

Have you told anyone yet? Many people. I'm not good at secrets!

Symptom list: just tiredness and food aversions so far. And straight hair. . . my babies steal my curls!

Any names picked out? for a girl the current front runner is Saskia Naomi, and for a boy we are thinking Caius, maybe Cauis Alexei.

What's your TTC Story? My little boy is an IVF baby, and we were sure this baby would be too. We had done one frozen embryo transfer already, and had taken an unplanned break because the clinic needed earthquake repairs. Instead we got the surprise of our lives .

What's your TTC Story? We started trying for #3 in the Fall of 2011. I had a blighted ovum in June 2012 which was pretty rough for me. Started trying again officially in August. Hopefully this one sticks!

How did you tell SO? I took 3 tests and couldn't believe it I thought I was pmsing, I went to his job and told him to take me to eat cause I was hungry because I was eating for 2, and that it was such a waste I just bought 2 boxes of tampons the day before. He couldn't believe it either so I showed him the tests with the 2 perfect lines, but since we were both in shock we bought 2 digital tests the next day and got 2 more positives!

Due-September 3rd

First Doctor Appointment: January 23th (can't wait)

Do you want to know the sex: Yes, but we want to be surprised so since we will find out around my birthday we want to ask my doctor to put it in an envelope and take it to a baker to do a cake with the color of the gender on the inside (pink/blue) and cut the cake the day of my birthday

Does DH want to know the sex: Yesss, he doesn't want to wait until my birthday!

Gender Guess: I have no idea, boys run in my husbands family, I'd like either/or but maybe 49% boy, 51% girl. Charts predict it will be a boy.

Have you told anyone yet? Everyone, couldnt wait we're so filled with excitement. Even posted it on Facebook lol

What's your TTC Story? With DS we conceived in around 6 months. He was born premature as I developed sudden severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP. HE is a perfect boy though. We conceived Thanksgiving of 2011 and found out in Jan 2012 that I had a MC. We have been trying for about a yr since then with some stops due to moving and military.
Anything else you'd like to add? My son was early so who know if this one will be early or not. I am excited and nervous with my history. Congrats and GL to all the Ladies here and I hope to be able to share in so many milestones with all of you.

How did you tell SO? I knew I was pregnant on Christmas day but were travelling that day and not even one airport sell pregnancy tests So I had to wait till the next day, I woke up at 7 am and sneaked out to the closest store and got tests while hubby was sleeping. I tested and got positive right away, I went back to bed and woke up hubby saying that I got another Christmas gift for him and if he wants to get it now, he said ok. I gave him HPT and he said that he knew it

How did you tell SO? I put the pee stick on his chest while we were sitting on the couch. Both of us are a little hesitant to be excited about it. I had a chemical pregnancy/early mc the month before and we are trying to be cool about it.

What's your TTC Story? Started trying in July using the ovulation sticks. Finally got preg. in December, but like I said it ended very early. I probably shouldn't have taken the hpt the day before AF. If I hadn't, I would have never known I was preg! Now it's just a waiting game and I try to take it 1 day at a time.

What's your TTC Story? I've wanted another baby since my son was 2. We tried off and on, but it just didn't happen. Time, and lots of it, passed quickly. I went through periods of badly wanting a sibling for our son to being ok with never having another. Everything happens for a reason! <3
Anything else you'd like to add? I joined APA 8 years ago when I was preggers with my son. Met a ton of wonderful women and Mommies! How funny that 8 years later I'm back!! My son's due date was October 2005, but he arrived in September. Now his sibling is due in September - how awesome! We are all over the moon and I can't wait to tell DS!

How did you tell SO? Had my daughter go into the bedroom and say "I want a brother or a sister" (which she has been saying a lot lately anyway) and then he glanced at me and I smiled real big and he says "REALLY!?"

What's your TTC Story? We have been very lucky in the TTC department. Once we start charting and figuring out my ovulation date, which was the hardest since my periods are super irregular since having my daughter. This was the first month we DTD with a postive O test.
Anything else you'd like to add? I loved these boards my first time around in 2009/2010 and got a lot of great support here, so I am very happy to be back!

Gender Guess: Boy, just because they are so prevalent in my husbands family. And my mother thinks it's a girl and is buying out stores, so it must be a boy.
Have you told anyone yet? If so, who? If not, when? Great story, my mother has wanted a grand-baby for a long time. She kept saying how fortunate she would be to have a grand-baby. So I ordered a giant fortune cookie covered in chocolate and sprinkled with hearts for valentines day for her. When she opened it she found out I was prego and started crying. Everyone else gets a card in the mail with 3 pairs of shoes on them. One white baby pair and one in pink for me and one in blue for my husband with the saying 'We made you something, but it won't be ready till Sept.' Hopefully they will get the hint.

What's your TTC Story? My husband and I thought we were getting kinda old if we wanted to have 4 or more kids, so we might as well start now. So I mapped out my ovulation cycle over a year. Started taking prenatal vitamins in Oct. and went off of birth control in November. I knew I would ovulate on Christmas day. I thought it might take us one to three months to conceive and the first try we did.

How did you tell SO? - I got him a book "Dude, you are going to be a dad" and put it with the positive pregnancy test under his pjs. When he got home from work, he ran upstairs to change and found it

Gender guess - my sister is already calling "her" names. I actually think it will be a boy
Have you told anyone yet? Yes, I'm terrible keeping secrets ;) told our parents and sisters the day we found out and then our closest friends a couple of weeks later. We are just waiting for the first trimester screen this week to tell everybody
Symptoms - weeks 6-10 really tired and sleepy. Weeks 8-10 food aversions and nausea but no vomiting, really sensitive to smells... After week 8 my heart rate went up and I was no longer able to keep my running pace (I'm training for a half marathon)
Any names picked out? - not yet. I'm Hispanic and my husband is American (Irish / Italian) so we want a name that sounds similar in English and Spanish
What's your TTC story? I stopped birth control in August but was training for a marathon over the summer, so running 40-50 miles/week until October. After the race I decided to slow down in case I wasn't ovulating (running too much and not enough fat in my body). Immediately cramping and breast soreness appeared with my periods so I knew I was ovulating again, 2 months later I was pregnant! We did it the old fashioned way, lots of unprotected sex and not worrying about dates / ovulation.
